EL Mescal family Mexican restaurant and bar

Our first time dining at El Mescal was nothing short of stellar. The atmosphere, the friendly staff, the amazing food. What an experience! Our very picky 5 year old asked “Can we go there again?” So you know it’s that good! Our server, Pablo, made us feel welcome and was attentive during our meal. He made sure we were happy with our food and kept our beverages topped off. The wife loved her Burrito Mescal and I had some of the best shrimp tacos. Aforementioned picky eater tried bacon-wrapped shrimp for the first time and those things disappeared before our very eyes. He inhaled them. Our boys also loved the churros and fried ice cream for dessert. We’ll be back!

I bought two orders of tacos to be delivered to my house. I just had a long, hard day. I honestly didn't want to hear about the kitchen. When the order arrives, it arrives super cold after being late.

Order A burrito and asked for added beans and left And no beans make sure get what you order before you leave. And get this then I called them to tell them what happened and the lady says come on back. I’ll give you a dollar back.

Lora Daniels in the photo was telling several of us that there were roaches and mice scurrying around the dining area .

Always a pleasure

New years eve, so appeared to be short staffed. Took longer than expected to be contacted after seating. I Understand that having workers show up for shift is difficult.

They show 6 pieces for taquitos in pics but give you 4. 3 times now and portions are much smaller with pickup than dinning in. BBB will be notified. Adding spent over $40 for 1 meal with a misleading appetizer. Don't go there.

We placed an online delivery order and they canceled it. We tried to call and no response. We then placed one for pickup online and again cancelled. So I then tried to call again. Same result no answer. At least answer your phones if you’re going to be open.

El Mescal is hands-down one of the best spots in Fruita for an unforgettable dining experience! Ordered take out. The chicken enchiladas were very good, they had lots of flavor. The rice was undercooked and very crunchy, not good at all. And they also forgot to give me my drink that I ordered and I didn’t realize until I had already driven away. Maybe this was a one time issue, so try at your own risk.

Fantastic food! The best Mexican restaurant in Fruita. Service was a little slow and the restaurant's decor was ok, but you should really check out the food!
