I have been a loyal customer for decades. Experienced the worst customer today at checkout. The cashier was dismissive and extremely unprofessional while checking out. In addition to that, I called to alert the manager and the same cashier answered, who proceed to make the experience difficult and placed me on hold to then say manager wouldnt answer my call. This is unfortunate experience as this store is a staple for me and the community.

We had a great experience at East Side Kosher Deli in Denver. The staff was incredibly friendly, and there were so many great food options to choose from.
Josh helped us with our order and was super kind and attentive. He and the other staff members made sure everything was packaged perfectly for travel, which we really appreciated since we were taking the food with us on our trip to Breckenridge. Everything was packed so neatly and thoughtfully — it made traveling with kosher food stress-free.
If you’re looking for a reliable kosher deli in Denver with great service and solid food options, this is definitely a go-to spot. We’ll absolutely be back.

3 of us stopped to by to grab a quick sandwich to go. The interior is clean and spacious and doesn't feel very deli like tbh, but we ordered 2 chicken schnitzel wraps and two knishes and a borek. They're pricey for takeout - the wraps are $21 each I recall, and with the knishes and borek the total was $60. It took forever - like 20 minutes forever - even though we were the only people ordering at the time. I'm giving two stars instead of one because the guy who took our orders did seem somewhat stressed that it was taking so long. The food finally arrived and they were not good - all shredded lettuce and weirdly the small amount of chopped up schnitzel tasted like chicken fingers. And zero seasoning or condiments. They weren't inedible but they were as meh as they could possibly by. The knishes on the other hand were in definitely inedible, cold, hard and angry - one bite and that was it. I'm no connoisseur of kosher cuisine, but how do you mess up a knish? Anyways - they found a way. Expensive and bad is not a good combo.

This is the best Jewish bakery and grocery store in all of Denver!
They also make the best Sufganyot for Hanukkah!

I like to support Kosher establishments when visiting a new town and can hopefully leave a sterling review.
Unfortunately I’m being generous with 3 stars based on my experience.
East Side Kosher Deli has a well rounded store selection: meat, cheese bakery goods, wine, fish, including sushi, prepared foods and more.
I’m reviewing what I purchased and my personal observation. The employees were pleasant though I didn’t get the feeling it was a generous place to work.
The corned beef ($21 made in house) was 50% fat and got thrown away after nibbling around the meat. Not fat marbled throughout, but a slab of fat that should have been trimmed off.
2 medium sized ready to eat bbq ribs, $15 each, were also extremely fatty and disappointing.
I was told I couldn’t take the food I purchased in store to the seating in the back where they sold food off a menu. (Possibly some halchic reason?) I ate it at the seating outside which had no umbrellas to block the hot sun. About $60 for lunch and a snack including soda would have been fine if the quality was delicious. Unfortunate it was not even mid.

The sushi at east side is really good! Apparently the guy who makes the sushi there has been making sushi for 26 years. And you can taste it! The sushi is soft and professionally made!
If you ever go by this place, you should really try it!
