Favorite spot for authentic Mexican cuisine. This isn't just a meal, it's an experience.
Favorite dish is the chicken enchilada & chile rellano combo

Wow wow wow! Probably the best chicken enchiladas I’ve ever eaten. Great ambiance, great service. Only meh: extra chips and salsa +$4. Want beans with your fajitas, +$3

Incredible Authentic Mexican Food in Glenwood Springs!

If you are looking for genuinely authentic Mexican food in Glenwood, FRIDA is an absolute must-visit. We had an incredible meal here and will definitely be back.

The Atmosphere:The interior vibe is really nice, clean, and authentic, making it a wonderful place to sit down and enjoy a meal. The only downside is that the location lacks an outdoor patio space, which would be amazing during the warmer months, but the quality of the food completely makes up for it.

What we ordered:Fish Tacos: The fish was perfectly breaded, beautifully crispy, and incredibly fresh.Chile Relleno: Super authentic execution with a soft batter, gooey melted cheese, and a delicious savory sauce.Shrimp Ceviche Tostada: Extremely bright, refreshing, and packed with fresh shrimp flavor.Drinks: The classic House Margarita was excellent, and the Pineapple Margarita with a Tajin rim was a perfect blend of sweet and spicy.

💡 Local Guide Tip: Because there is no outdoor seating, plan to dine inside or grab your food to go if you are looking to eat under the sun. Definitely upgrade your margarita with the Tajin rim—it pairs perfectly with the fresh ceviche!

We arrived on time for our reservation and were seated quickly...and that was the extent of the service. A busser dropped off water and a couple of menus and not one person spoke to us again.

Several waitstaff bustled past repeatedly, apparently too busy to deal with our table, even though only 3/4 of the tables were occupied on this Saturday evening.

My wife and I eventually left and went to a different restaurant, Tequilas, where we were instantly served chips and margaritas and had a great dinner on our rare night out.

It is an uncommon indulgence for us to dress up and go out to dinner, so we were exceptionally disappointed in this experience.

We won't be back.

Went here for lunch all by myself meal was decent – with the chips I asked for a small side of beans which most restaurants offer either as a courtesy or small charge on the bill – they brought me a small side of beans – looked at my bill at the end they charge me freaking $11 for that small side of beans– just eating by myself ordered only a burrito with no adult beverages. My total bill was $45 if you can believe that! What is this Morton’s Steakhouse!? Absolute rip off! They should’ve disclosed the cost however they said nothing and charge me $45 for a freaking average burrito – if you want a restaurant that will overcharge you, not Disclose cost, take advantage and rip you off. This is definitely the place for you!

The food was plentiful and well worth the trip. Great facility and decor. Acoustics made it very hard to talk without raising your voice

Four ladies, one with a birthday so the other three were going to pick up the check.
The server showed us the three way breakdown, charged the First Lady 1/3.
Then “abracadabra” charged me the other 2/3! Why did she do that?
And you want a tip to boot?
