Excellent priced filet. Nice atmosphere
The last two times in town couldn't get into the restaurant. Tonight, we walked in on a Friday night 7:30 and the place was a 1/3rd full. Prices on the website were different than on the door and menu. Drinks were the highlight of the meal. Sourdough bread was attempting to be warm but not warm enough to melt the foil rapped butter from the fridge. $48 for New York Strip, it was thin gristle, and looked like it was cooked on a flat top, not a grill. Asked for medium rare, we were nearly medium well. It was barely seasoned. Mixed veggies were a simple mix of summer squash, zucchini, and red bell pepper. This was well seasoned and cooked well. The baked potato was a russet that was larger than the steak. It was dry and over baked. The sad cold butter in foil made its appearance again. Sour cream was nicely presented with 3 little chives on top. The side of sautéed spinach was so overpowered by meat drippings that there was no spinach flavor. It just tasted greasy and heavy. Our server took our order, both drink and dinner, and that was the only time we saw him. Couldn't get steak sauce to attempt to choke it down. No one ever table touched to see if our meal was ok. Our server finally reappeared, and I would assume to pedal more drinks or desert so we could finally be released from this palate assault. We were comped our dinner, the neighboring table was on a first date and had some sad mussels and was equally disappointed with their meal and service. Whatever Juicy Lucy's once was, it is not anymore.

If every bartender was like ours, I don’t think I’d ever have to go to another restaurant.
I believe Alex is her name, and I might be wrong, too, because we had a couple of beverages…. She is an absolute pleasure to be served by and someone to hang out with and create a vibe at the bar.
I definitely recommend Juicy Lucy‘s. It is not related to the one in Saint Paul, Minnesota, but an original to Glenwood Springs.
Cheers! Thanks for everything!

We are locals and have been dining here since it opened . We went there last night for a birthday and were extremely disappointed. Service was terrible , steaks were thin , presentation of food terrible . We were suppose to get veggies with all meals only received one side . Prices to high for what you get . So very sad we are losing all the good eateries in down town Glenwood Springs.

My boyfriend and I were recommended Juicy Lucy's by several locals, and it certainly did not disappoint. We visited for my birthday dinner and had an outstanding experience from start to finish.
To begin, we tried the New Fashioned cocktails, which offered a creative and flavorful twist on a classic drink. For our appetizer, we enjoyed the cheese board, which featured a wonderful variety of cheeses and accompaniments; the pepper jam was a standout.
For the main course, I ordered the ribeye steak, and it was absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked and tender, practically melting in my mouth. Paired with the savory gravy and mashed potatoes, it made for a truly satisfying meal. To finish, we shared the crème brûlée, which had a delightful hint of orange flavor that was both light and refreshing.
The food, service, and ambiance were all fantastic, and I would highly recommend Juicy Lucy's to anyone visiting the area. I will definitely be back on my next trip to Glenwood Springs!

Shared the Porterhouse w/mashed and gravy, onion rings for appetizer and wine. The gravy is really good, onion rings legit with a nice beer batter fry, and the sourdough bread is awesome. Porterhouse was a great choice for two, with the smaller filet and larger New York cut. Both very tender and perfect medium.

Not super impressed for the price. My sirloin steak which I ordered medium was quite undercooked and strangely came pre cut into three chunks of meat. I would never have ordered pre sliced steak as I would want to cut into it myself first.
We were pre warned by the waiter that the French onion soup did not come with cheese ( the best part of the dish!) we tried it anyway as he said it comes with Parmesan encrusted croutons. Big mistake! 4 tiny croutons floating in a huge almost flat dish of lukewarm onion broth was not good! No toppings available for the baked potato other than butter. Salad was forgotten to be served. The best part of the meal was the few slices of bread and the roasted artichoke. The potatoe casserole which I got in leu of a baked potatoe was ok. The wild rice was gritty like it hadn't been rinsed well before cooking. Almost forgot about the desert. The creme brulee was oddly mounded with unripe strawberries and sliced oranges which made the top crust soggy, same with the cheesecake. Both tasted overly sweet like they came of of a package not a true baked desert.
Maybe it was just an off night for the chef but I felt it was very overpriced mediocre food. Three stars might be a bit much but I'm hopeful it was just a one off for this highly recommended restaurant.
Wanted to love it. Service was average but watch for missed items that you ordered. Food is generally bland. Thankfully salt and pepper is provided. Cool historic building.

Elk steak was great and the drinks rocked. The atmosphere is not what we expected but still had a good meal.

We got there around 6.30 on a Thursday. We sat at the bar because there were lots of people waiting for the dining room. Bartender was nice, but busy. Drinks were good, the garden salad was excellent. Got the elk in filo app, too. For dinner we got the ribeye, and the special, which were scallops. Food was good. People were friendly. We'd go back for sure!

Misleading menu, we read the menu displayed outside. When we sat down we were given a menu with maybe 10% of the choices. Waiter was complaining how busy it was but less than half of the tables were occupied. He was very pushy that we order everything at once, as he had no idea when he could make it back to our table. Ceaser salad dressing was not like any teaser salad I've ever had, and I've had a plenty. $71 for 2 salads 2 drinks and truffle fries. Definitely will not return. We saw the waiter when we ordered and paid, our order was not right but we ate it anyways. Service was the worst I've had at a so called nice restaurant. I rarely leave a bad review and I've pondered this for a week.
