We looked forward to returning to the Italian Underground and was so disappointed. No more fresh baked bread. The chicken tasted and looked like a premade patty out of a Sysco truck. The noodles we anticipated so much tasted like store brand noodles.
The service is great but the food quality is a real let down. If you're from out of town ask a local where to dine before going. We wish we had.

Hotter than outside, no A/C functioning, sweating before, during, and after meal!

My grandparents and I had dinner there this evening (7/27) and it was excellent. From the moment we walked in the door to the moment we left, it was a fantastic experience. The owner and bartender, Angie, was a standout. She is warm, professional, and one of the hardest working people I have seen. From the moment we sat down at the bar, she made us feel like family and as if we were a guest in her home. She was a pleasure to talk to (one of the things that I love about setting at the bar). Her warmth and dedication to this business shown through. The rest of the team was just as impressive—Emily, the host, did a phenomenal job and made a fantastic first impression with her friendly, professional manner. The food was delicious. I had chicken parm with spaghetti and it was delicious. Not only was the plate hot, but the chicken was crispy and seasoned well. The sauce was also very well seasoned. My grandpa’s salad was a very generous portion. It was fresh and crisp. My grandma loved her bruschetta. All around, the food was great. The tiramisu was very good, and I appreciated how the chocolate sauce was on the side. It is rare to find a place that combines this level of warmth and hospitality with consistently great food. We highly recommend it and look forward to coming back!
