From the words of the younger guy working the cashier at the souvenir section. "We are a mediocre gift shop" with the worst attitude and all to my family and extended family. Can't answer simple questions regarding payments and made the process much longer and more confusing than it needed to be.

Really wonderful gift shop! Employees are nice and plenty of gifts to choose from. I wish the chocolate lab would let me pet him.

Saturday, March 25th, 2023 We did the Lariat Loop Scenic Byway Scenic Overlook drive and one stop was the Buffalo Bill Cafe and overlook areas. It was a stunningly beautiful cool day but the wind made it that much colder, aside from that we were able to still enjoy all areas especially the cafe where I purchased post cards and wrote them out to family while enjoying two cups of hot chocolate. We loved shopping, sitting and sipping our hot beverages. We took some scenic photos and continued on the drive path. We highly recommend it. One of the great things we did on our final day in Denver.

We went here today and enjoyed the museum and awesome gift shop. My son was hungry and asked if we could stop at the cafe- huge mistake. We ordered and sat down. After waiting a while I walked up to the grill where they would call our ticket. An older man with a goatee told me to go sit down. Since I saw our food coming off the grill I told him that’s ok I can grab it.Someone called him from the gift shop as the guy behind him started to hand me our food. I stepped forward to get it and instead of walking behind me he ran right over me and yelled “and that’s why I told you to sit”I was so embarrassed. We are our food and then I asked to speak to the manager. Yeah- it was him- go figure. I told him everyone deserves to be treated with respect and there was no reason for him to treat me the way he did. His response- “you can leave”Don’t recommend:(

Little diner inside a cute gift shop. Gift shop was full of great souvenirs at fairly decent pricing. We split a Buffalo burger for a snack. Very small, way over cooked and served cold with about 10 potato chips for $13. I don't mind the $13 but I do mind cooking it til the patty is tough and gray colored. For $13 dollars throw a handful of chips on the plate. Counter service was very friendly but they forgot to call out our number and when we went to see what was taking so long our burger was sitting in the pass window, while the waitress was busy making fudge. Three stars for happy, smiling employees and a nice gift shop. I don't recommend the Buffalo burger though. Worth a stop for the gift shop and museum. Maybe stay with the sweets and snacks.

The museum is amazing, the grave of Buffalo Bill is solemn, but the gift shop/cafe is great on its own right.Well-stocked with books, jewelry, trinkets, maps, decor, clothes, and more, it's worth to at least peruse if you're visiting. And the cafe is a welcomed stop, especially if they're serving hot cocoa! The buffalo burger was really good, and much bigger than it seems. I had to order mine to go as I couldn't finish it in one sitting! The indoor and outdoor seatings are reminiscent of a chalet, and it's incredibly cozy in all weathers.

Please if you like yourself don't eat here. We ordered 3 buffalo burgers for a whopping 13 dollars each and 2 chili fries for 9.99 each. One of the burgers was overcooked... one virtually frozen..... The fries were raw in the center . On top of that the place was filled with big ole buzzing flies while there are non outside ( you can guess where they came from ). Tables sticky and dirty truly disgusting. It's really sad... What could be such a great scenic restaurant is a run down food poisoning station. Colorado! please fix this!

Soda and ice machine not working. Staff says since last fall. Bottles are in a warm fridge. 20oz bottle almost 4 dollars. Saw the cook cooking fries on the griddle. After this experience we did not pay to go in the museum.

This is a lovely museum! I learned so much about this wonderful American visionary! Do have a root beer float before your leave. The view is amazing!
