Lookout mountain is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!! The views are so spectacular. We also learned quite a bit about Buffalo Bill! He is at a breathtaking eternal resting spot. We hiked around the area & loved every second!! Can't wait to come back.
Beautiful views of metro Denver & across the prairie in one direction, the foothills around Golden in the other direction. Lots of good photo opportunities. Park is not crowded, right before dusk was perfect time. Walked to Buffalo Bill's grave, stopped at the Teepee store. It's unclear why city is closing it & if it is just temporary. Did the museum itself on an earlier trip, worth a visit to see the collection
The Buffalo Bill Cody museum was very informative and interesting. Make sure to watch the 20 min movie, which chronicles his life. So many beautiful artifacts, which were donated by people who worked with him, knew him, as well as his foster son.
