First place we go when we get into Golden Colorado
This is one of the best Mexican restaurants around. The food is incredible. The service is great. You’ll want to add this place to your rotation. I would have taken a better photo but I ate too fast.

El Amigo Mexican Family Restaurant is a family-owned restaurant that has been there for over 40 years. It is one of the absolute favorites for many, with care and consistency every time. The food is always fresh and full of flavor, with a really authentic menu. The 2 Item Plate with a chile reliano and a burrito is delicious, and the beans and rice are absolutely flavor loaded. The vegetarian green chili sauce is also recommended. The margaritas never disappoint, and Miguel makes a great Margarita. The service is warm, welcoming, and super friendly, making customers feel at home. Miguel knows every customer's name. The atmosphere is average in construction, but the service makes it seem warmer and comfortable. There are gluten free options. The restaurant is good at handling large groups. The quality of the food shines with manageable portions. This wonderful place comes with the highest recommendation.
