Our coffee tasted like soap and the people behind the counter had huge attitudes. Didn’t feel comfortable coming back in to ask for them to remake the coffee. Ended up throwing it away after one sip and getting coffee somewhere else.

It was a nice enough place from the outside. However inside it smelled really badly of mildew like old wet carpet - guess what it had an old carpet! I'm not sure how healthy that is for the customers, breathing that in. Toilets also kind of gross. Coffee was bland and the scones were definitely off. My belly was not right all night. I am baffled at the high prices and the high reviews. This place is not hygienic won't be returning. The owners clearly don't care.

It was my first visit to Higher Grounds and it was a great one. The Gentleman working was super cool. Great Coffee and great atmosphere.

The person behind the counter was unpleasant and rude, lattes were bland and not strong at all (+expensive), and pasties were stale and tasted 2 days old. I don't have the slightest clue as to why this place is rated so highly.

Some of the worst old, stale, drip coffee (black) I've ever tasted before. Maybe my tastebuds are wrong. I'm not sure how to like it. I vividly remember flavorless, weak, tan water.
I just had a cup from 711, and it's better and fresher. $7 Kroger coffee tins from the grocery store also make better drip coffee than this place...
I guess folks are rating the caffeinated milkshakes, the vibe, and the artwork, not the coffee?
