Old Barrel Tea Company is a darling shop in downtown Golden with a jaw dropping interior and great selection of loose leaf teas. The tea is LEGIT and high quality, with something for everyone. Customers enjoy tasting the samples available for the day and smelling the others because they taste exactly how they smell. Favorite teas include bee pollen tea, a fruity uloong, and rooibos chai, with Bourbon Brew Rooibos tea also mentioned. The staff are very kind, knowledgeable, and patient, greeting customers and answering all questions. The ambience, smell, and overall vibe is so darn cute. The shop also has an e-commerce site. A sustainability tip is to bring back an empty tea tin for a $1 off refill. Some find the tea fairly overpriced, with two small tins costing $32 total, but the premium product is very good.
