We had a good lunch here. We were a little ravenous since we had just spent the morning hiking Red Rocks with a light breakfast. Got 2 apps, chips n' Queso and fried pickles, both were good. Then I got the Green Chili, now is looks like a baby's diaper, but it was fantastic, tip add the cornbread..Mmmmm Now it kept coming back on me for the next few hours, but was still worth it. Great American restaurant on Main Street Golden. Parking can be tricky on the street, but there are plenty of paid lots around. Restaurant is set in a historic building with photos and info from the past. The food is good. Our service experience this time was not excellent, as we had to switch out our drinks a couple times , because of cups with strong chlorine smell and soda being flat
First time visiting Old Capitol Grill. The service was 10/10—very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the food didn’t match the experience. We ordered brisket, and it was dry and didn’t taste like brisket at all. Everything on the plate, including the beans and the brisket, was cold, which was really disappointing. On a positive note, the buffalo wings were actually pretty good.
