Awesome experience at Grand Elk Golf Club! Our family made the trip from Kansas City to play in our annual family golf scramble. The clubhouse staff and attendants were A+ which made our experience that much better. The course was in great shape and offers various tee boxes for Junior and Senior golfers as well as all handicap levels. It’s a must-play course if you’re in the area.
If you find yourself in Granby, Colorado and get a chance to play golf, this place is amazing. Most of my pictures do not do it justice because it was slightly overcast the day I played, but that does not take away from the beauty, magnificent, and amazing layout, and condition that the course is in.
Very friendly staff great golf course and the Cafe was outstanding all around a very great time
A nice alpine links-style course, very challenging with lots of water and grassy rough to lose balls in. Expected it to be more picturesque but found it to all look somewhat the same, set in an alpine meadow with the mountains fairly distant and hardly any trees on course. Gas golf carts and lower quality on-board GPS were a bit disappointing. Decent driving range but limited putting and chipping facilities. I also played Pole Creek GC on this trip, which is a beautiful course with great facilities for less cost, so I'd recommend it over Grand Elk, though this is also a nice golf course.
Enjoyed the course.
Absolutely, terrible experience. I booked tee times for 7 friends for my 40th birthday. We get to the course and get pushed to the back 9, with no directions on where to go. We were able to play 2 holes before the cart demanded we return to the clubhouse due to weather. Once we got back to the clubhouse we were issued rain checks, and not even for the full amount, of what we paid. As we were waiting to decide if we can go back out, we sat in the bar area, but then a server came by and said we had less than ten minutes, and we had to leave the bar. They hadn’t even allowed play to resume at that point. Ridiculous that we couldn’t play and we couldn’t wait in the clubhouse. I have a voucher for less than what I paid, but at this point not even sure I would want to come back. Rude staff and frankly wet and soggy course, even before the rain started. Not sure it is worth driving back to this course from Denver. If I could this would be a zero star review. Very dis appointing way to spend my 40th.
My golf buddy and I have been trying to play at this course for five(5) years and we finally made it happen! And I am sure glad we did. What a fun and challenging course. The view are spectacular and the course design makes you think about your shots.
This is not a grip the driver, rip it and wedge into the green, no, no, no. You do have to think about your shots.
The staff in the pro shop was also very helpful, friendly, and accommodating. Andy, one of the starters definitely knows what he is doing and keeps the groups on their times or adjusts groups as needed in a very friendly and professional manner.
If you spend the time and money to drive her and play this course, you will not regret it.
All steaks are well done? Water and silverware by request only. Only 2 beers on tap. Shoulda gone to the bar in town

Be ashamed if a dozer was to drive through
Excellent golf club. We had so much fun golfing for two days. Nature is so beautiful. Course staff very friendly. You can rent clubs and enjoy game without place being overcrowded.
As soon as you pull on the parking lot, guys bringing you cart and loading with waters and ice. Carts with navigation system is making it so easy to orienting on the course.
The best place! The best vacation ever!
Nice feel to the resort with lovely views of the mountains from your room. The goof course is close for those who love to play, and there is a pool for the kids. It's family-friendly and a great place to escape for a little while. It's close to a grocery store and not far from local town attractions or the grandeur of the Rocky Mountains.
