We have eaten here many times. The only time we have really enjoyed the food, service, and vibe was when the owners were in France. Night and day difference in the experience. When they aren't around being entitled and condescending while drinking heavily behind their own bar. It is noticeably better.
Is there a sixth star? This food was amazing! I had the mushroom entree, slices of mushroom prepared like a slice of meat on a bed of lentils — that were the most flavorful lentils I’ve ever eaten. I am not a vegetarian, though I love vegetables. I almost got the tenderloin (which someone else got and loved!). I am so glad I got the mushrooms. I am not sure I wouldn’t order them again — I like trying different things — but SO tasty!
And crème brûlée for dessert.
Nice wine list.
Attractive space.
Definitely recommend. Pricey but worth it!
The food was absolutely incredible. We had a cold corn chowder soup that was over the top amazing. In addition to an heirloom tomatoe salad with buffalo mozzarella and capers. Our main dish was the Chellian Sea Bass with this delicious lemon Blanc sauce . Hats off to the chefs for this amazing meal. I just wish I lived in Grand Junction so I could visit it more often. Next time we pass through it it's a must stop.
We had a decent experince. We sat in a spot where a lot of drinks were dropped by the services and eventually one spelt all over some of our guest at the table.
We loved everything about this restaurant! They were thoughtful about detail, even adding a special note on our menu for our anniversary! We liked everything dish and cocktail we had. Standouts were the Bad Idea cocktail and the pasta, which was a very fresh and unique take on pesto. Our server was also amazing and so sweet. A very lovely night!
It is a very fun, lively place. The tables are close to each other and I had trouble understanding the waiter because of the volume. The appetizers: fried cauliflower and the tuna sashimi were excellent. My son had the smoked duck entree. And he said it was very good. I had Pepita Pesto Pasta. It was good but the pasta was overcooked. We were traveling but if I lived there I would definitely go back.
I want to like this place, I really do. But it is just mediocre. We ordered four fried oysters and they were not good - we didn't even finish two of them and the server asked what we thought and we were kind, but honest. She was very kind as well and took them away, but I was surprised to see them on the bill - especially as we are charged individually for them and we didn't touch two of them. Bread service is a bit of joke in GJ - it's expensive and the bread feels store bought. The butter was nice, infused with tarragon. We each ended up with a burger and fries for the main dish. The fries were quite good, the burger was fine. There was nothing amazing about it but nothing horrific. It just isn't enough to want to go back again.
Delicious farm to table fare. We had an albacore tuna with papaya as a starter, the sea bass and steak salad and two lovely chocolate desserts. Left very impressed and happy we found this gem on our travels. We especially loved the curated wine flights!
626 Rood is a not-to-be-missed dining experience in Grand Junction. The manager Angie remembers regulars and less frequent visitors like us. Our server Tyler is well-versed in the menu and wine selection and returns to check on the table with just the right frequency. The food is unique and the presentation is beautiful.
This is one of our favorite places. Definitely a go to here in Junction. Wonderful staff and amazing food.

Wonderful experience at 626! The service, food, drinks, and ambiance were all amazing. Try the blueberry hibiscus martini - you won't be disappointed!
I lived in Grand Junction in 2010 and we used to come to 626 all the time. I came back for my birthday and they made the day very special! I was happy to see that all of the things I loved about this restaurant remain the same. The food is delicious, creative, and elegantly presented with many plant-based options. The servers are attentive, but not overbearing. Every server I've ever had has been professional and knowledgeable about the menu. You don't see a commitment to service like this everywhere. The food is always delicious and 626 has been committed to farm-to-table, the slow food movement, and sustainability since the beginnings of those movements. They use herbs that they grow in their garden and local products whenever they can. The decor is classy and I've always loved the pre-Impressionism paintings that scroll on the bar TV. The values held by the owners and staff show. You won't be disappointed!
This is an excellent restaurant overall. Menu is innovative, food excellent, and service terrific.

Everything about this restaurant is perfection. Delicious food, amazing mocktails, incredible service. The ambiance was also so relaxing - not too loud at all, and perfectly lit. I cannot recommend this restaurant more, we loved it!
We got drinks to start from the buzzless mocktail menu - cosmopolitan and espresso martini - 10/10. Then the tempura cauliflower, also 10/10. We ordered the Chilean sea bass and the mushroom asparagus enchilada and those were incredibly good, 10/10. Finished with the orange crème brûlée that was incredible as well. Overall, perfection.
