I don’t like to write bad reviews but damn this really got me thinking. Food was alright but the guy who made my burrito tonight around 7pm was such a buzz kill. Bro definitely hates his life lol. He was showing me attitude, rolling his eyes after I told him to smother my burrito in queso… then threw the foil bowl with some Attitude. Once a big party left he started complaining about his job and asking his co workers what it takes to make more money and comparing his last job to this one. Also cussing in front of my kids (idk if he thought were still there) Look, I used to work fast food and definitely understand rude customers but we are pretty nice people, didn’t make our order difficult… if you hate your job so bad then go somewhere else. Grown man crying about money not knowing he has an advantage to work somewhere better like the oil field lol. we weren’t even mean or rude either. If your hate your job you can still treat people with respect and be a decent human, life is hard as it is. Definitely clocked his attitude though, nobody is ever happy at this place. Except our cashier, dude was pretty nice, I hope he has a good life haha.

I visited my favorite cafe rio yesterday and was blown away by the incredible staff, especially Josh! He went above and beyond to help my parents by explaining the options and promotions available at Cafe Rio. He even tried to go above and beyond by translating in Spanish! To be honest, we’ve been going to cafe rio for years, and no one has treated us like Josh did yesterday! Thanks, Josh, for making our experience at cafe rio truly unforgettable.

Don't bother ordering online for here unless you have time to drive out twice to get your full order.

Numerous times if I order chips, they're missing. Or the dressing is missing. Or the order is made incorrectly.

Wish there were another location that gives what you pay for.

I got a burrito and asked the guy for the habanero sauce on the side, he put it on….. I was like no big deal…… then I asked for lettuce and sour cream, he made my burrito then I sat down took a bite and there was no lettuce or sour cream! So I went up and asked for some , proceeded to eat and 3/4 the way through my burrito I found multiple bugs in the lettuce they just put on my burrito! Attached is a picture of one of them.

I don’t normally go out of my way to leave poor reviews, but this was an exception. I’ve never had an exceptional experience here. The food is overpriced and greasy, the staff is less than enthusiastic, and the facility is some level of dirty. Today, for a single chicken quesadilla, bag of chips and a drink we paid almost $22. We waited in line for about 5-10 minutes behind two other customers who were also waiting to order. The cashier’s demeanor and tone of voice gives off the impression that he’s not happy to be working. He barely mumbled the total and we almost had to reach over the counter to grab our food. To his credit, he treated everyone that way, however it’s not excusable. The line staff were friendly despite waiting to be acknowledged for a bit. The kitchen and dining areas were dirty with old food, crumbs, etc like they hadn’t cleaned before closing last night or this morning, and we’d arrived a little after 11am. The bathrooms were dirty too, the toilet paper and paper towels were on top of the dispensers and the dispensers were empty. Food quality was so-so: the shredded chicken looked and tasted like it had been freshly dumped out of a can, the chips were a surprise- some were wet, some were stale, some had a ton of salt and some barely had any salt. I don’t know why this place is so popular when the whole experience really leaves a lot to be desired.

Food was fresh and excellent. Just like I remember. Sweet pork is my favorite!! Ashley was super friendly and I actually saw her wash her hands twice while I was in store.. as well as saw other employees cleaning, sweeping behind trash and machines and maintaining bathrooms. My kind of people and my kind of place.

I grew up in Utah, where Cafe Rio all started. I have been eating Cafe Rio for 20+ years. I have dined there while living in Utah, Nevada, and now Colorado. I have been to this location several times in the 2 years I have lived in this valley. This is the absolute worst Cafe Rio I have been to. I have had several bad experiences over my visits here. Examples are: Rice that has been sitting in the assembly line metal containers for so long that when I went to eat my food, every individual grain of rice was hard as a rock and I couldn't bite through. Weird yellow limes that are super old and curved from being sliced a LONG time ago in my food, wilted brown lettuce, and other stuff like that. Minor annoyances. Usually I just eat around it because I am not someone to cause a fuss. Until last night. Last night I ordered a shredded chicken salad to go, and brought it home with my family's meals who all ordered something different. Everyone ate their food and was fine. Except me. I became violently ill about two hours later and was in the bathroom all night. I am so disappointed in this place. What has happened to Cafe Rio? It used to be so much better. There were standards, everything felt clean, the food was fresh all day, the employees were nice and cared about you. This location has been going downhill for a while it seems and last night was the last straw for me.

First timer here. Staff was up and ready opening hour. Good additudes. Went with shrimp tacos. Floors where a little dirty and not all tables where wiped. Good enough to not notice. Good experience over all. Well done 👍
