I got the blackbean tortilla sandwich for $17, and it was a complete waste of money because it was terrible. The pictures of the restaurant seemed so inviting and the food looked good, but I ended up very disappointed.

I have been coming to cafe sol for many years now. It has always been a great place for brunch and the service has always been wonderful. I recently developed a SEVERE allergy to dairy and gluten, and communicated this to the person taking my order. They explained that my breakfast was normally cooked in butter, but that they would make sure to but “cheese allergy” in the order notes, and reassured me that the cooks would know that meant to cook my meal in oil instead. I trusted her. When my food came out, I double checked with the server that my food had been cooked in oil rather than butter. She reassured me that it had not been cooked in butter. Halfway through eating my meal, she came BACK and told me that it had, in fact, been cooked in butter. You can imagine my amazement at this statement, especially because I had double checked it was not cooked in butter. I was severely sick for the entirety of that day and through the night because of this. If you have any food allergies I caution you to coming here a it is clear they do not take them seriously.

This place has really gone downhill, portions are so small and prices are way to high for what you get
Went there for the breakfast and I was appalled by how small my meal was for $13
A cup of sweet potatos/squash, one fried egg and two sad little tortillas on the side....for $13...are you serious???!
My smoothie was $9 and it felt like the enamel was coming off of my teeth it was so sour and bad.
Ordered a dirty chai and it was honestly the worst I've ever had, tasted like literal dirt, I ended up sending it back.

The servers were so dry and not very friendly

This place used to be so good and the vibes used to be so fun! I'm sad to see this is what it's become.

I work downtown and this is a great go to for breakfast or lunch. They give me a downtown discount. It's a great healthy option. In a world surrounded with toxic food options, it's refreshing to know there are still healthy options out there.

Food was ok but what really upset me is the fact that I wanted breakfast and they would not want to serve me because it was past 11 am! I'm never coming back
