Great waiter, energetic and friendly. Wonderful food. We loved the seasonal menu. Will definitely be back.
We heard they have a new chef, so we gave it a third try. Still disappointing. Stick with drinks and happy hour - skip dinner. There are several other options in the valley in this price category that outshine DK.
I have always been very pleased with the food and service in the past. Last night was not good at all. If I could give less than one star out of five I would. To begin, after we were seated it was at minimum 20 minutes before we were even greeted and asked if we would like anything to drink after which it was another 20 minutes before we were served drinks. After we finally ordered our meals there was another long period of time before we received our meals. Three people out of our group of 7 ordered filets and rib eye steaks none of which were good. They contained grizzle and fat and were not properly prepared. The side salads that were served were nothing but a couple of pieces of lettuce with a little dressing. The server never came back to ask if everything was okay or if we needed anything else. We ordered bread that did not come until the end of the meal. Furthermore, we were charged 25% gratuity even though we were a party of two and five. Our server was rude and incompetent. We spoke with the manager who apologized and adjusted our bill for only the rib-eye steak. After such a bad experience, I have no reason to either recommend or visit the restaurant again.
The service was exceptional and fast. The food was not as good as we expected. The duck breast was very good, the paella was very spicy hot and had no other taste. The cheesecake desert was overcooked.
Highly recommend trying this place. Very quiet, great atmosphere and the food was amazing. Great date night stop.
We really wanted to have our dinner outside and watch the sunset. It worked perfectly! When it got too cold, the sofas around one of the fireplaces were available, so we sat and ate by the fire in the dusk, watching the lights of the vehicles come and go on the Uncompahgre and Colorado National Monument. It was a very romantic evening! The food was terrific, and the service was exactly right.
We stayed two nights at the Hotel Maverick, so the Devils Kitchen was an easy choice and sounded delicious. The first night we ate my husband and 16 y/o son ordered the burger. My teen ate half and said it didn't taste good. My husband said the burger didn't have a lot of flavor and was dry. We later realized it was missing the herb aioli. Not sure how much that would have helped, but would have seemed like the kitchen would make sure it got on the burger if it's listed on the menu? I had the tomato gnocchi. It was fairly good, very acidic tomato sauce. Would have possibly tasted better with Parmesan cheese on top? The desserts were good enough to bring us back the very next night. Again, we loved the convenience of the restaurant being upstairs from our hotel room. My husband ordered the Caesar salad and I ordered the hearts-of-palm salad. When they brought mine out, it looked liked the kitchen cut up 2 cans of hearts-of-palm and dumped it in a salad bowl and served with a few halved tomatoes and a few pieces of chopped avocado. That is it. It looked wrong and we pulled up the menu and it saw it was missing ingredients. The waitress brought out a few diced cucumbers and sliced radishes (because they didn't have the radish sprouts that were listed in the menu. It was literally the worst salad I've ever had. You would think it would have a bed of greens with the hearts-of-palm on top. Nope. Just a big bowl of hearts-of-palm. My husband's salad was also missing an ingredient; the croutons, which the waitress also brought out later after we asked. Normally croutons wouldn't be a big deal, but the dressing was so spicy, my husband needed them to help break through the spice. He said it was the worst Caesar salad he's ever had. He said it should have been called a spicy creamy Italian dressing salad, definitely NOT a Caesar. Our waitress could tell we were disappointed and provided us with a free dessert. The desserts are delicious, but unfortunately the dinners are not.
Awesome restaurant and what seemed to be quality ingredients. Appetizers and drinks were the best part. Steak dinner was underwhelming.
Food was great, service was extraordinary. We arrived at reservation time and were seated immediately. Couldn't ask for more.
Everything was excellent! Our waiter was outstanding! We've eaten here several times and this was the best overall experience! Thank you!

Amazingly prepared locally sourced food. Great service. And a pretty adorable happy hour. Ask with great views. One of the best restaurants in the Valley.

Had a reservation for 4. Waiter was very scattered and came back for food order before drink order . Then never asked if we wanted more drinks .. burger was dry .. been here before and was great , but never again .
Food was outstanding. I had the salmon and it was delicious. I was with friends, and everyone's meal was good. Great service.
Service was soooo slow. Host walked past us like 4 times before saying anything. Server took forever to talk to us and checked in once. Waited forever to pay for our overpriced basic food. No music or anything in the background. All around rough.
