This is by far the best food I had on my trip to Grand junction! The shop and atmosphere are adorable, the service was fantastic, and the food was absolutely incredible! I am excitedly going to eat here every single time I'm in town.

Holy shit, this burrito didn't even need the salsa that came with it. Normally I'm used to breakfast burritos filled with bland potatoes. This was amazing and the box was filled with fruit. Definitely stopping here every time the dreaded front range trip presents itself. Iced tea was also great!

Food flavor, variety, food presentation. the food is unique , healthy and delicious!
I ordered food and cancelled it a few minutes later. I was so excited to try this little place. I am barely awake during the day because I do overnight shifts at the hospital. I woke up a bit earlier than I normally should and went to grab some breakfast. Little did I know that I was going to get there and be disappointed. I’m originally from Miami and have family from NY. So I’m used to dealing with attitudes but wow. I was in shock on how much attitude this woman working here had. I allowed another customer to pass in front of the line after I had asked questions about the menu and was responded with pure attitude. I was still thinking about ordering despite the attitude and thought “maybe she’s having a bad day”? The person in front of me asks her a question about the menu and she responded with a nasty attitude. I ordered after her and came back and said I didn’t want it. I was so in shock. I thought I was in my head but apparently this has been an ongoing issue with this business. Definitely not supporting this business. Rather spend my money at McDonald’s!

Frequented a time or 2 previously, talked her food up. Absolutely never again. I can not imagine how you stay in business treating people that way. What a hateful being. I would suggest not jumping on a person over a menu that had been blown on the ground, or being so nasty to a person for asking a question.

My rating is based on service alone because I didn’t get to try the food. I walked up to the window and greeted the owner/chef and the first thing she said in reply was that it would be at least an hour to get any food. While she was the only one working, there weren’t many people around so I’m not sure what the issue was. Additionally, do they not prep certain things in advance to help streamline operations? It seemed excessive and if you’re going to run things on your own, maybe think about improving your processes. She was rude and short with me from the beginning even though I didn’t do anything which would have warranted an attitude so the hour wait was an immediate non-starter for me. The locals seem to have a different opinion on this place but beware if you’re a visitor!

The homestyle sandwiches are amazing, we got the Thomas and the B.L.A.T. The candied bacon is the best I’ve ever had! This is a must visit, thank you!

If you value common human courtesy, skip this restaurant. The fun, whimsical vibe of the place, with its bubble machine, butterfly chair, small mushroom decor, and hula hoops, doesn't match the disappointing experience we had.
I've lived in Palisade for quite some time and was excited to try the delicious-looking menu. Unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. When I arrived I looked at the menu, and then went to the window. I greeted the staff warmly, but received no acknowledgment. After a few moments I instead, I got an annoyed look, and from the tone of the interaction (despite being the only customers), it felt like my presence was an inconvenience.
I initially thought perhaps the staff member didn't hear me or was distracted while cooking. So, I politely asked a simple question about the menu, only to receive a snide and rude response.
If my daughter hadn't already ordered we would have left at that point. After we confirmed that was all in our order she tossed the notification device out the window onto the ledge and said she it would notify us when the food was ready.
That said, my daughter enjoyed her children’s pancakes and fruit and said the syrup was fantastic.
We took the pancakes to the tables outside of Slice of Life Bakery and enjoyed a breakfast burrito and slice of quiche. They always greet you with warmth and a smile and are happy to answer questions or make menu suggestions (not that I needed it, EVERYTHING there is phenomenal).
Kid-friendliness: Hula hoops, chalk, butterfly chairs and bubbles abound. Any child would find the outdoor area of this establishment intriguing. There is a children's menu available for children under 10.

I'm not a review-leaver, but this iced latte is different-special, delicious, beautiful. The shack is charming and the owner is unique. I get the getting that nothing is automated here.
