Short story: This place sucks.
Long story: I'm fairly new to grand junction and decided to try no coast. To say I was disappointed is a huge understatement. The place was dirty, with grime and dead bugs on the floor (God knows what's going on in the kitchen). The hostess/bartender didn't seem to know what she was doing. The servers are nice but are all super young and can't really describe any of the drinks cause they can't taste them, and they just all seemed distracted. I think it's a bad look not to have ANY experienced servers at a supposedly high end place.
Our food took forever to come out. It got so bad I think our server was avoiding us because she didn't know what to say, which isn't her fault but come on. I get the place was busy but an appetizer shouldn't take nearly as long to make as the sushi.
On thag note, the sushi was alright but a little dry. Heard this place had the freshest sushi in town but it barely tasted better than the grocery store sushi. Plus its super expensive.
On our way out we overheard the chefs joking and slurring and it sounded like they were drunk. Makes sense why the food took forever and tasted not that great.
Overall a horrible experience. I don't usually write reviews but I just tried Suhiros downtown and it was so much better, I felt compelled to write this in hope someone sees and makes the right decision to go there instead.

Just ate here for the first time. I've had good sushi and this is not it my friend was chewing and I heard her crunch on something really hard it got stuck in her teeth also the poison ivy she ordered was gross it tasted so fishy. We asked them to take it back and off our ticket they said no. If we would have been at suehiros they would have gladly taken it off and got us something else. The people were all really nice. Our service was still great. But the food wasn't that great. I threw up when I got home it didn't settle right. No hard feelings but I won't be back again.

Everything was so nice! The location is even perfect for taking a walk after or before your meal. From their parking lot you can see a beautiful view of Grand Junction and the monument

So goooood. We hadn’t been here in a while and were so delighted to remember how delicious the food is. This is the only place in town that we’ll order sashimi. So fresh. Standout meal.

Went for a late lunch. First time here. Very good food and service was good too. I was also happy to be introduced to a new local IPA..18 Road..definitely going back to try a few other things.

The ramen, soy sauce and miso soup we’re all sour which is a tell-tale sign of bacterial growth and not being cooled properly… not to mention the steak in the ramen looked like wet beef jerky… I’m not allergic to nuts, but there’s pine nuts infused in the green tea and the serve never mentioned it… just asked for green tea and she said “okay!”

There was a weird picture on the wall that talked about someone going into shock and listing all of the symptoms like cold sweat and nausea and I thought that was very weird / kinda cringe to have up for someone to read while eating… it was also completely unrelated to Japanese culture.

I could go on, but I’ll stop here.

So many vegan options!

No Coast was such a pleasant surprise. I found them on the Happy Cow app and they had a full vegan section on their menu. The vegan Philly roll was to die for!

The service was lovely and attentive, and the atmosphere is cozy.

I will definitely be back next time I'm in town for work and look forward to trying other things.

Sushi was not good. Sushi was mushy and had a lack of texture. Service was decent. They were friendly and the fish tank was fun to watch.

We had the best time yesterday! My boyfriend treated me to a birthday dinner. I love the variety of vegan/vegetarian options. He is not vegan fyi. The order was: Vegan: Tofu Hibatchi, Wicked Garden roll, Vegan Gyoza, Portland roll. I order the tofu hibatchi every time and it just gets better. The Vegan gyoza & Portland roll w/cashew lox was so good my bf wanted it all. 😅 I loved the kick on the Wicked roll. I was giving a free dessert (awesome) and had this AMAZING chocolate ganache(?) & pistachio tart. The staff were so sweet and beyond attentive! Awesome!

Loved the sampler I got! Something more than the typical cucumber roll for vegans. Really cool fun flavors
