We sat on the outdoor patio. There was a pleasant breeze which added to the ambiance. Pretty well patronized, host wasted no time in seating us.

They have a large selection of draft beer which folks are sure to enjoy; we stuck to Guinness though.

We stuck to the basics when it came to food: the Tavern burger and the fish and chips.

It took the Server a little time yo get to us, about 15 minutes but when Angel did it was really quick, we put our order in, and had our drinks and food out really quick.

PS: I did ask for the Tomato to be removed from my burger but I didn’t mind it too much when I did get the burger with THE Tomato 🥲.

Regardless food was good.

Food was okay. Underseasoned, but doable. As if they were just trying to get it out as fast as possible, but didnt give it a good QA.

Service was on it! She was busy but efficient.

Atmosphere the lightning went was pretty relaxed, but I could imagine this place is a great time on a game night!

Great Irish pub feel without all the noise. Centered in the heart of Grand Junction, it's a great little spot to stop in for a beer and a good bite to eat. They have lots of menu options with tradional Irish tastes like corned beef and pot pies. We had the sirloin pot pie and the fish & chips to share (roughly $17). The food was good and matched the menu online. Food quality: I wasn't thrilled with the amount of carrots the pot pie because they overpoweredthe taste of the meat and sauce. The portions could have been a little bigger too but they coninside with the modest menu pricing. I would recommend this place for lunch or early evening dinner with a medium to hungry appetite. Overall though we enjoyed it and would recommend it to others traveling through the area.

The food was excellent. The staff was not the most attentive. I came in at 9:45 pm on a Saturday, so maybe that was a factor.

Another excellent experience for a late lunch, seated inside in the back so we could hear better. Emily was a great server!

After a full day of sightseeing, we were excited to relax and eat at The Goat and Clover Tavern. Unfortunately, the experience turned out to be very disappointing.

We started with the Irish Egg Rolls, which sounded great on the menu. At first bite they were warm, but then the second bite gave me a painful surprise—the filling was scalding hot and actually burned the roof of my mouth. It left me in so much pain that eating anything else became nearly impossible. Even the Caesar salad and fries were unbearable because the salt and dressing stung the burn. My husband ended up eating most of my meal, and I was left unable to really enjoy anything.

When I mentioned what happened to our server, her only response was, “I hate it when that happens.” There was no apology, no offer of assistance, no fresh water until I specifically asked, and no check-in afterward to see how we were doing. A little empathy would have gone a long way—something as simple as an apology, a refill without me asking, or even considering comping the appetizer. Instead, we felt completely dismissed.

For anyone considering the Irish Egg Rolls, be very cautious—the outside may feel warm, but the inside can be dangerously hot. Hours later, I’m still uncomfortable and hoping ibuprofen helps. UPDATE: It has now been over a week since this burn occurred and I am still limited on what food I can eat because the burns were so severe inside my mouth and throat! It STILL hurts to swallow anything that is not completely soft. This was not just a simple burn, there were layers of skin that came off and I have red burns in my mouth! Please be careful if you order these rolls...as I mentioned they were not 'hot' to the touch and the first bite was only 'warm' :(

To management: I strongly suggest training staff to respond with more care and concern when a guest has a problem. A small gesture of empathy can make all the difference, and unfortunately, that was missing here.

We will not be returning, and I hope others have a better experience than we did.
