Only giving it a 2 for the atmosphere. Food was horrible and way overpriced not to mention the service was complete ish!

Excellent Mexican food!! We got the crispy chile rellenos w the red salsa which I would highly recommend!! Also the ceiling has some fascinating angler/cowboy decor

Did a backpacking trip on the East Inlet Trail and there was no better way to end the trip in Grand Lake than with a well deserved meal and absolutely the best food at Charlie’s! A friend recommended this spot and I was very impressed with not only the food and drinks- but the beautiful patio views of the lake. The staff were friendly and our waitress Leah gave us great service. Definitely will stop back in when I am in town again!

We enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Charlie’s for our anniversary. We have been going to this spot for many years before Pancho and Lefty’s and now Charlie’s. The fajitas were delicious and fresh. Margaritas were excellent. The service was flawless. We loved the view from the back deck where our dog could join us. Not sure what the sour grapes reviews at all about. Our experience was as good as it gets!

I would give zero stars if that was an option. Food was overpriced and bland. My chimichanga was all pork fat and hardly any carnitas. The nachos had stale chips, a spoonful of meat, and then some shredded cheese on top and warmed in the microwave. I could have served that garbage at home for a lot less money. The servers had zero sense of urgency. We had to get our own forks and knives. They never refilled the drinks. The hardest worker was the busboy cleaning tables. Our table was in the middle of a yellow jacket nest. We had to fight the bugs for the food. It was very sad. Couldn’t believe I waited an hour in line for that. Nobody even asked how the experience was. Nobody even looked you in the eye. It was like they were all beaten down and knew everyone was having a bad experience. The owners should give away the restaurant to someone that knows what they are doing.

Seated promptly… no wait on a busy Saturday nite! Service was a little slow, but adequate. Food and margaritas, although expensive, were very good! Chips and salsa were plenty for two people, and salsa was great! Portions were substantial. Probably deserves better than 3.7 (4.5)… worth a try!

Food was ok and the outdoor seating offers a nice lake view. Nickel and dime charges are unacceptable at resort town prices, be aware.

DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! We stopped in at Charlie’s for a nice dinner with good views and it was also dog friendly. Initially upon sitting down we noticed we were within a few feet of a fly trap . The patio was empty so we asked to move to a different table so there was no issue, the host told us no immediately (even though that table we wanted to move to was unoccupied our entire visit). The flies were out of control while we were there and the fly trap smelled like a dead body approximately 1 ft from where we were seated. We spoke to the waiter about it and his response was “we’re outside in Colorado what do you expect.” To top it off we asked for more chips, the waiter never brought any. We also asked for a box and he took 20 minutes to bring one. At the end of our dinner we went inside to complain to a manager, she proceeded to disregard our complaints and eventually the owner came out. He then said “what are you scared of a few flies?” Also completely disregarding our complaints and being condescending to us. I told him I wasn’t going to be talked to that way and he said “kids these days.” For context, I am 30 years old and not in any ways a child. We immediately got up and left. My husband then had to track down his card that this restaurant had lost while this was all happening.

To sum it all up, choose ANY OTHER PLACE in Grand Lake besides this place. They don’t respect or care about their customers, right down to the owner!! Will NEVER RETURN!

Went to have lunch at their place. My adult autistic son does not eat Mexican food and they wouldn't let him order off the kids' menu that is very discriminated.and very wrong and I'm never going back. We walked out without ordering.

Perfect food and vibe after a long drive up from Denver.

Just ate here for my daughter's birthday and unfortunately it was far from great. One of the meals was a mistake and so we had to wait another 15 minutes after everyone else had been served to get the right food. Mid-meal, my husband abruptly got up and headed to the bathroom where he proceeded to be sick and vomit all the food he just ate. We informed the server, who went to get a manager, that never came to the table. They discounted the one meal and that was it. As a GM of a restaurant myself, that was terrible.

I hate leaving bad reviews for restaurants because my boyfriend is a kitchen manager and I know how harmful they can be. Me and my friends went to eat here for lunch after a lovely lake day on lake granby. My friend had the combo el Pacifico and my other friend took a bit of his food and she spit up a piece of jagged plastic and almost choked on it, we asked the server to let her know and she didn’t even offer to replace the dish we had to ask her 10 minutes after she left the table, they also brought our queso out with our food after 30 minutes waiting for our food, we hate to leave this review because again we know how hard restaurant work can be we have all worked in one but this was beyond bad service
