I’m from the Denver metro area, myself and a group of couples make a trip to Granby every summer. We decided to venture out and try a few local bars, we started our night at the Lariat. We were met by a hostile environment, and were actually refused serve. A large percentage of our group were people of color, the bartenders told us they were “very busy” although there were open bar stools. We were a group of ten people, all ready to spend money and enjoy out night. We all decided to leave, one of the workers followed us out asking why we decided to leave. He then called us profanities, and asked us to “meet him out back”. Very embarrassing and toxic environment, if you’re willing to spend money I would recommend to go anywhere but here!

On Sept 20, 2025 my bill was $35.54 but my card was charged $40.54. A $5 tip was added to my card even though I did not fill in a tip or sign a receipt due to rude and disrespectful service. I contacted my bank (Wells Fargo) and filed a dispute, and I have filed a BBB complaint after the business failed to respond. I’m sharing this so others know this may happen. Keep your receipts.

Google Maps says this place is open till midnight. Doors locked with a vague hand written note about reopening soon at 8pm when we walked to the place.
Don’t lure people to your establishment if you aren’t even open, update your hours online.
Also, I did get a laugh out of this owner attacking rightfully annoyed customers on the review comments.
When the same themes keep coming up, it’s likely your business/staff not the lost customers.

I would give this less than 1 star if possible. Dustin definitely doesn’t understand how to run a business. It shows when no one is in there on a Saturday at peak hours. 1.25 for fooseball and receive 5 balls. Game plays to 8. Dumbest management in grand lake for an example.

Jurgen and Stelina carried that bar the whole time they worked there, hours of smiles and laughs, and great service where everyone got their drinks. Shout out to them for working so hard and being a joy to Grand Lake!

One bartender (female) and it wasn’t busy on a Saturday night around 8:30ish PM. She was horrible and wouldn’t provide us service even though we waited for a few minutes. Maybe because I wasn’t white and she tended to serve the white customers. Left after a few minutes of no service. Racist establishment is what I felt. If you’re not white, go somewhere else.
