We had dinner here. The buffalo medallions and center cut angus filet were incredible! Nice atmosphere and beautiful spot overlooking the river.

07-16-2026 They told an entire restaurant full of people no one could sit outside due to weather when it was a beautiful sunny day but they let one family sit out there and eat in front of everyone while we watched from inside the restaurant. That family arrived at the same time as the rest of us. It was my dream to sit out there my only chance to enjoy something like that. I understand the ambience of giving a rich atmosphere but this restaurant is located in a LAKE TOWN...NOT ITALY. Not posting the prices anywhere but on the menu until the guest arrives is insulting to the people who can't actually afford those prices. I was shocked when I sat down and saw the prices of the menu I never in my mind thought it would be that expensive in a LAKE TOWN. I paid $30 for two bites of buffalo and $60 for dry rubbery pork chop three pieces of dry asparagus and two bites of crunchy zucchini. I was too embarrassed to tell them I couldn't afford it and I was too embarrassed to tell my family I couldn't afford it so I had to drop $300 on dinner and now I can't pay rent and I didn't even get to sit by the river I was forced to sit inside the restaurant and watch another family sit by the river and eat and enjoy their time. I attached a picture showing the family they let sit there and told an entire restaurant full of people we were not allowed to maybe that family is special I don't know I'm just an out of town person spending all my money to have a good time

My family’s trip to The Rapids Lodge Restaurant was absolutely amazing. The food was delicious, homemade and locally sourced. After we ate we got to go to the speakeasy and have dessert. While we were enjoying the delicious ice cream cobbler and lava cake the owner, server and chef all came out to talk to us and ask us about the food. Overall it was a great experience and would 110% recommend.

Wow! We had an amazing dinner here this past Saturday. It was great to see all the improvements and updates to the property. For being open 4 months the new owners are doing an incredible job. My husband and I had a filet and ribeye. Both were seasoned and cooked perfectly. They were wonderful about working with my food allergy. They went as far as going through the menu with our server before our arrival so she knew exactly what I could order. I also had the most delicious mocktail. I appreciate that they had awesome zero proof options. We will be back. Can’t wait to check out the lunch menu. So happy to see the Rapids continue on and the property get some beautiful upgrades.
This review is for their restaurant, which is truly a gem not just in Grand Lake, but in Colorado in general! Some of the best game food I have ever had (their bison and elk are top notch) combined with an amazing location right on the river, and finished with great service. This place is definitely worth the hype and price!

We had the boar gnocchi and the filet and it was cooked to perfection! The staff were very attentive, and very welcoming! If you’re in the grand county area this is definitely worth the drive. We drove up from Fraser, and would come back in a heartbeat.

The experience last night was mixed. Rapids is iconic Grand Lake our table had great view of river. The service however was lacking they were out of two of five entrees on the menu and still would not allow my guest to order a $30 burger which apparently is only for the speakeasy. The new owners have raised prices drastically now most entrees are $85 and drinks are $20+ we waited 30 mins for the appetizer and then all they entrees were served 3 minutes later. Our server was not knowledgeable or trained to do fine dining service of a $600 meal. Such a shame this used to be my favorite place in Grand county. $85 for a steak you can beat at outback for 35 doesn’t cut it!
