Mom-and-pop shop that serves pasta and salad literally in paper buckets. The noodle options are cavatappi, penne, and spaghetti, and there are numerous sauce options. The cavatappi was cooked slightly over-al dente, but the marinara was excellent — the spicy marinara is a home run. The pasta bowl sizes are called small, medium, and family, which translate to big, giant, and humongous because the family is 24 ounces.
Garlic bread comes with each pasta order, and it's made to order, and it's crispy, buttery, and garlicky. The salads — also made to order — come in the medium bucket. The mac and cheese (cooked to order) is also flavorful. Meat options are sausage, meatballs, and chicken.
The paper buckets are tightly sealed by a plastic lid, and I'm confident that transporting the food would not result in a spill.
The food is prepared by Patrick, one of the owners, and patrons can sit and wait and converse with him, as we did when we dropped by. He said his goal is to make feeding families more affordable for the South Denver area.
They have a free miniature arcade set up, as well, for those who want to pass the time while waiting. It's the original three Mortal Kombats as of November 2024. There is no dine-in option here; it's strictly order to go.
The shop is connected to the Great Harvest shopping center — just have to swing around the corner to the south.

This is AMAZING! My whole family loved it, which is rare. The owner is super nice and our food was even early. We will definitely be back, a lot!

Stopped in here today to find the sweetest lady (owner) ever. She directed me right to pink sauce heaven while having the most warming smile ever. To top it all off the food was perfect and price was beyond fair. I would make my way down here again just to bask in her light and enjoy the delicious food they make here.

Absolutely incredible. No reason to go anywhere else for your Italian fix. The spaghetti and garlic bread were some of the best I’ve had in such a long time. Everyone here is always so kind, and customer service is clearly a top priority. Will definitely be coming back soon! :)

Got the family party pack for a luncheon at our home. 4 guests Spaghetti with meat sauce, Caesar salads, Meatballs, Garlic bread and brownies. Everything was wonderful our guests loved it and it was so convenient to pick up and serve at home. Have ordered the same for our next get together next week. Highly recommend.

I'm always worried at pasta places that it's just going to be Chef Boyardee straight out of the can, but not here. These folks know their stuff! Meatballs taste great, the garlic bread is amazing, sauce is fantastic, and they cook the noodles perfectly al dente! The staff is great and don't roll their eyes when you ask them to walk you through the process. In fact, they're happy to do it and make it super easy! Great job!

I manage a girls travel soccer team. We had to arrange for dinner for 2 teams traveling to Denver from Texas. The folks at By the Bucket were awesome. Due to time difference confusion I was late picking up my order they kept everything fresh and hot for me. The girls commented that is was way better than the other place we got pasta from some kind of garden place....

We've wanted to try this place since it opened and finally did last week. We've had a lot of company and we've been back twice already! If you are looking to feed your family and/or guests great food and don't have the time to cook all day this is the place to go! Sauces are great and the garlic bread is amazing! I recommend getting extra bread because it WILL all get eaten! Great place and super nice people!

First time here, the owner Patrick greeted me and walked me through the menu. I ordered the personal pasta, meat ball (should have got 2) with meat marinara, and extra garlic bread (glad I did, it is fantastic!) Meatball was delightful! Pasta was done perfectly. Sauce was awesome. I can't say enough about the food, and service. I will definitely be back

I woke up on a Saturday morning realizing I needed to provide food for 75 people for my parents surprise anniversary party in a couple weeks. I happened to see an excellent review on Nextdoor that morning for By the Bucket. I stopped in to try the food and it was great, so I proceeded to book the catering with Becky. I could not be happier with that decision. She took care of everything. On the day of the event she and an assistant arrived about an hour prior to the start and set everything up so guest could eat right when they arrived. Everyone loved the food and there was plenty of it. We sent a lot home with friends and family. It work out perfectly for us. I highly recommend them for dinner or a big catering event.

We tried their pink sauce pasta bowl and a meatball sub, and both were absolutely fantastic. The pasta was perfectly cooked and coated in a rich, creamy pink sauce that had just the right balance of savory goodness. The meatball sub was equally impressive, with juicy, flavorful meatballs nestled in a soft, perfectly toasted roll, topped with just the right amount of melted cheese.

We tried all 3 sub sandwiches, and dessert. The Meatballs were delicious (better than my husband) !! The Sausage and Chicken Parm were very tender too!! Can't wait to try the pasta!! We will be back.!!!
