Rooms are clean and comfortable. The town has little amenities.

This place absolutely sucks. Never coming back. No ac rooms are tiny. Location is terrible. Highly recommend to never come here

We detoured northwest off US-40 into Hot Sulphur Springs instead of staying along the main I-70 corridor. It’s a classic, no-frills mountain motel that works as a basic pitstop when exploring further up into Grand County.
Check-in was quick, and having parking right outside the room door made loading in our gear very easy after hours of driving. The room was simple and definitely had an older, rustic feel, but it was clean and quiet overnight. The Wi-Fi was strong enough for us to log our work notes before turning in. On the downside, the heater was fairly noisy when it kicked on, and the bath towels were pretty thin.
Not a place for a luxury getaway, but for an affordable overnight spot while traveling through the northwest side of the range, it served its purpose for us with a nice charm..

John was so helpful when we called before our stay. We checked in through text and he stopped by to bring us a fan and see if we were all good. The kitchenette had basics and we cooked almost every meal there. Dog friendly but never heard any noises or dogs through the walls. Very quiet and clean.

Room was clean and comfortable but most of the electrical outlets did not work. Owner tried hard to resolve the issues….. Otherwise, was ok-good

Came in there desperate for help and John, the owner, was there for me. I couldn’t recommend this place enough and John is a great guy. Thanks for the ride homie! See you soon hopefully!

I want say the service was second to none. Here is the back story :Me and my boys were in route to our hunting destination on Labor Day weekend. We had planned to stay at a different location however me the procrastinator forgot to book a hotel. Whilst in Denver I jumped on the internet and thought I had conformation of a room at the Canyon Motel. We drove up and I went towards the front office and noticed the sign and proceeded to give them a call. This is what I was explaining to the manager during the call (However I was unable to find the conformation for a room. I had this kinda panic feeling thinking here we are 17 hrs from home and no room on Labor Day weekend.) He stated “no worries meet me at the front desk and we will accommodate you.” The room was great clean beds comfortable. This is an annual trip for me and my boys and we will make sure they have our business from now on.
P.S. To the manager: I’m horrible with names but you know who your are. Thank you.

Rooms are very cozy. Only 4 stars for the room solely because there was a couple moths. Service was amazing. We didn't get in until 9:40 at night and the front office had closed. I called the number a couple times for a room and John (i think was his name) came and opened up the office just to check us in, and gave us an upgraded room so with 2 beds we could sleep better.
Absolutely awesome service and wish I could give even more stars. Location is amazing aswell. Right near Granby and grand lake. Green mountain views from our room and close proximity to rocky mountain National Park. Highly recommend, especially for the price with other hotels nearby being 250+ per night

Room #4 with a King bed was perfect for my husband and I. Comfy bed, nice towels, mini fridge, coffee maker, and microwave were all nice. The tall table and chairs were handy, too. When my husband accidentally locked us out of our room (by manually locking the door handle), I made a quick phone call and help was there within a few minutes. We really appreciated that! I did wish there was a full length mirror and perhaps an ice machine on property. Yes, it is a little pricey, but that's CO.

The Canyon Motel was amazing. The owner is very friendly and helpful. I will suggest this place as an easy access to hot springs and Rocky Mountain National Park.

Room was very clean, shower was good pressure with plenty of hot water, we had leftovers for dinner and the room has a nice little kitchen with plates and silverware. We had a small issue with the TV and the manager cane over right away to fix it. Would definitely stay here again!

We was only able to stay a cpl hours. Our pup was acting odd, so we decided to leave..to somewhere closer to a veterinarian. Nothing to do with the hotel. We loved the quaint and adorable cottage feeling hotel.🩷
Clean..no signs of bugs. We was looking forward to a peaceful nights rest here...but our pup had other plans🫠

Scammed out of a night. When I originally spoke to the front desk I asked for the rate and was told $129 per night from Friday through the following Friday night. This should buy 8 nights for $1,100ish. Today I was confronted by the front desk saying they have us "checking out tonight".? First off, when do you ever check out at night? Secondly when I inquired about needing to pay for the night I thought we already booked, I was informed the rates are "variable". When I requested a receipt I was given one reflecting no nightly itemization and a room price of $149. Needless to say I thought that $129/night was excessive for a small room of this caliber, at $149 I'm insulted. As of posting this review Google has the room listed at $122.

Rooms: Small and dated, cable box hanging neatly off the wall so you can pretend you are spending the weekend in your kids room.

Food & drinks: Don't forget to ask for coffee daily, they won't be refilling your room.

Noteworthy details: Might skip a day of cleaning if they're feeling cute. Only clean every 3 days.
