The Canyon Motel was amazing. The owner is very friendly and helpful. I will suggest this place as an easy access to hot springs and Rocky Mountain National Park.

Room was very clean, shower was good pressure with plenty of hot water, we had leftovers for dinner and the room has a nice little kitchen with plates and silverware. We had a small issue with the TV and the manager cane over right away to fix it. Would definitely stay here again!
Scammed out of a night. When I originally spoke to the front desk I asked for the rate and was told $129 per night from Friday through the following Friday night. This should buy 8 nights for $1,100ish. Today I was confronted by the front desk saying they have us "checking out tonight".? First off, when do you ever check out at night? Secondly when I inquired about needing to pay for the night I thought we already booked, I was informed the rates are "variable". When I requested a receipt I was given one reflecting no nightly itemization and a room price of $149. Needless to say I thought that $129/night was excessive for a small room of this caliber, at $149 I'm insulted. As of posting this review Google has the room listed at $122.
Rooms: Small and dated, cable box hanging neatly off the wall so you can pretend you are spending the weekend in your kids room.
Food & drinks: Don't forget to ask for coffee daily, they won't be refilling your room.
Noteworthy details: Might skip a day of cleaning if they're feeling cute. Only clean every 3 days.

Delightful little motel, a throwback to my younger years. Clean, very quiet, pet friendly. The hostess was very helpful and polite. Wish we had a few days to spend here. Highly recommend.

We called ahead of time and read the fine print, Gaylord overcharged and forced us to get a second room despite it not being in the fine print, then threatened to call the police and kick us out when we wanted to cancel because we couldn’t afford it. Immoral and disgusting abuse of power. Don’t let them steal your money. There’s a better motel down the street called Ute

Awful service. Lady who answered the phone (I believe it was Gayleen) was very rude to us and threatened to call the cops on us. Do not go to this motel, there is a better and cheaper one called the Ute Trail across the street. I'm telling all my local friends about this terrible establishment.

Rude and disrespectful, was hoping for a good cheap hotel but was met with disrespect, tried upcharging us which I’m pretty sure is illegal, cancelling is the same amount for the room which is HORRIBLE!! she threatens to call police and kick us out and charged us anyways, only because we asked if more people can stay in the room that WE PAID FOR! Absolutely DESPICABLE… DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY

We was only able to stay a cpl hours. Our pup was acting odd, so we decided to leave..to somewhere closer to a veterinarian. Nothing to do with the hotel. We loved the quaint and adorable cottage feeling hotel.🩷
