This was shockingly bad. Does ownership ever visit this place?

The ribs were cold, hard and so rubbery they squeaked on my teeth. The brisket was also cold, dry and flavorless. The bun was not homemade, it was warm, and dry.
I ordered a side of baked beans, that were just not baked beans. They were foul and sour, possibly rotten.
The atmosphere was very uncomfortable and surreal as there is no music in the building, just the sound of the microwaves and staff talking shit to each other in the back.
I will never understand how this place has so many positive reviews.
I don't think I've left a review in over 10 years. But this place really was profoundly bad.

I have been to all 50 states and never write reviews. The ribs and brisket are some of the best I have ever had. You dont need sauce. Just enjoy the moist and flavorful meet. Well worth swinging by. Will come again.
Semi slow service, the burger I got was well done, but still wasn't bad.

Let me start by acknowledging I am very picky when it comes to rating establishments that serve BBQ food. I was in town for a festival and had a hankering for BBQ. I almost went to a different restaurant that served some BBQ ribs on Friday night but decided to try this place. The server was friendly. The decor was bland, but I wasn’t here for that. I ordered three-meat dinner (ham, brisket, and ribs). I concur with another reviewer that the ribs were tough. They did not fall off the bone, and I felt like a beaver gnawing at them. The brisket was dry and should have been a bit more moist (for my liking). The ham was excellent! Nice place to satisfy the hankering, but the beans were not as good as I hoped. Overall, glad I came, but not sure I’d be back.

We ordered two meals and paid for upgraded sides, fries and coleslaw. We didn’t get either side! Also didn’t get our side of ranch. Took it to-go so we couldn’t get it fixed. Food wasn’t great and one of us got food poisoning from the French dip.

Chicken fried steak came with a dollop of gravy. Less than a cup. In my experience steak and potatoes should be smothered. I was unimpressed.
Yummy food. Busy restaurant. Very popular. Good value. I hade the Chef's salad for lunch today. So much meat! I'll definitely be ordering that again!

Known this place for years, my father in law worked there years ago. ZACK'S BBQ has been a family favorite as long as can remember.
We shared the three meat dinner and it was quite good. The ribs were too tough, brisket good but the smoked ham was unique and delicious. Skip the beans. But then dessert-the pie was to die for. I love cherry pie and this was one of the best I've ever had. Ala mode of course. Our next evening, we ate elsewhere but came back here for a piece of coconut cream, also delicious.

Husband daughter and I tried this place for the first time a few weekends ago. And we loved it! My husband had a delicious prime rib that he said was to die for! I had the best chicken fried steak I ever had there. To top off the delicious food, the People were friendly and it has such a cozy atmosphere 🩷 will definitely be back
