Wow! We heard about this place from our kids who went and loved it. After a lovely hike up to St. Mary’s glacier, we stopped by for an early lunch. The place is low frills, but the bbq and sides were AWESOME! Very friendly staff, nice beers on tap - and the place was hopping by the time we left. Highly recommend!!

I walked from my motel and was greeted pleasantly by the staff, and my meal was more than I could eat in one sitting so I had, much to my delight, yummy leftovers for the next day... everything was well prepared and delicious also!!!

The food here was great! The decor is not much to look at, but don’t let that fool you. The food is so tasty and well prepared. The side options are so delicious. The staff was so helpful and friendly. This place is a great stop when you are on the road outside of Denver.

Food came out hot, fast. Had half smoked chicken and smoked beans. I do a lot of smoking and tgis was very good. Staff were friendly. Local beer on site. Lots of options. Friend had brisket and sausage, he enjoyed it very much. Price was good. 11.99 chicken one side. A hidden gem...stop by for great smoked bbq

Yummy Barbq. I had the brisket sandwich and potato salad. I really liked the bold Barbq sauce. I would have given it a 5 stars but the brisket was cold. ❄️. I am from KY and love a good barbq brisket. My kids ate the fried pickles.Great staff also.

We have travel a lot and try BBQ everywhere we have been. So far this is a solid 10 on all aspects of great quality Q. Great smoke ring on brisket. The taste was great. It was flavorful and moist. I had brisket and pulled pork with a side of potato salad. Husband had ribs. He said they were the best he has had so far. Not dry and had great flavor. This is not a fancy place at all. There are a few tables inside and several on the covered patio next to the stream. Be prepared to wait to order at the counter as the line was out the door when we arrived at 4 on a Tuesday. Worth the drive. Don't skip this one.
From the moment we entered the staff were lovely - the guy with the gingery colouring at the til was patient, very warm & professional, and Gina was really thoughtful, personalised and welcoming. They made us feel valued and welcome. We ordered a wide range of BBQ - inc brisket, pulled pork, smoked 1/2 chicken. And chose the catfish & a range of sides, too. The food is flavourful & well cooked. Not fatty. Perfectly seasoned. Nice condiments available. Really great fries, too. The moose pie was a nice pudding for us. The atmosphere is lovely, nice country music, good seating options, chill vibe. We really enjoyed the food, but it’s the staff that would keep us returning if we were local. Loved it. Great place for bbq in Idaho Springs. Being from TX and knowing from experience that it can be hard to find bbq places in CO we like, we were not sure what to expect. I was immediately encouraged when we could smell the bbq about a block away and there was a line coming out the door. As soon as I saw Shiner Beer memorabilia inside I knew we were in for a treat. Friendly service and excellent food. Highly recommend.

After a long day of travel we stopped here to refuel before heading to our cabin. Small inside, but nice patio out back where you can bring your pets if you wish. Staff was very friendly and the BBQ was delish. Make time to dine here while in Idaho Springs.
