“I live in Longmont and when I go into the mountains from I-70 I stop here. The fountain drinks are good enough to stop. It’s best to go with a few people to try their variety of dogs and Italian beef. You will not be disappointed and you will become a regular.Wheelchair accessibility: Nice ramp to the front door”
“The Irish coffees are strong and the food is fresh! Go for the chicken and waffles or the Colorado Bennie and you will lick the plate! Bonus is that they take reservations (but don’t require them) and have room for large parties. Super cool booths with high backs gives lots of privacy. Full bar.”
“We had some time to kill on the way back to the airport from the ski areas so we decided to stop in Idaho Springs to walk around. We stumbled across Main Street Restaurant and I’m so glad we decided to stop. They offer a full menu (breakfast, lunch, dinner) all day. I can honestly say I had the best omelet I’ve ever eaten! It was the corned beef omelet with rye toast snd grits. Everything was perfect. You can’t go wrong here. I highly recommend it!”
“A variety of pies thick and thin, with an interesting selection of toppings. Decent beers on tap list, and a great outdoor patio area. Some vegan options available, and while not affordable definitely worth what you pay.Vegetarian options: Offers dairy free cheese, vegan pepperoni and sausage options.”
“So glad we decided to grab lunch in Idaho Springs and stop here specifically. My girlfriend has Celiac disease, so we're always looking for gluten free spots, and they have plenty of options for her. To top it off, our server Connor was absolutely awesome. His recs were on point, and he provided us with excellent service. We will definitely stop through here again between ski resorts and Denver again soon!”
“Wow! We heard about this place from our kids who went and loved it. After a lovely hike up to St. Mary’s glacier, we stopped by for an early lunch. The place is low frills, but the bbq and sides were AWESOME! Very friendly staff, nice beers on tap - and the place was hopping by the time we left. Highly recommend!!”
“Found this place on Google while passing through from Winter Park to Denver. Needed breakfast and decided to try it. Customer service was great, friendly and offered suggestions on what to eat and things to do in the area. I ordered sweet tea with 2 pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage. The 2 pancakes were huge. It was all really food.”
“I was dying for a turkey sandwich and they had gluten free bread, best day ever! It was delicious and its a cool spot, there's notes on the walls written on napkins and receipts. The people who worked there were happy and kind. Perfect spot to eat before going up higher in the mountains”
“No actual buffalo at the Buffalo Bar, FYI. They took the Buffalo Burger off the menu, which was the only reason I used to go there. Other than that, in my recent visit (Mar'23) the food and service were fine, except the seating/hostess stand process was oddly overcomplicated and lengthy, even without a line.”
“Stopped here for a bite following a day up in the mountains. We appreciated that they offered smaller pours of their brews in addition to the recs for their sandwiches. I had the fried tofu sandwich and it had lots of flavor. Definitely would come back for the fries!”
“Super fun place to grab a beer and a meal. The brewery has some great selections.Great salads and sandwichesVery good sweet potato friedService is super friendly”
“My girlfriend and I were on a shuttle from The Denver airport to Breck and got stuck here in Idaho Springs amidst the massive snowstorm. Our group collectively decided to go to Safeway to see if we could get some booze. We were turned away due to it just closing at 10PM, but a nice gentleman said, “I’d be happy to re-open the restaurant for you guys.” Nicest folks let us in and served us plenty of drinks and food. Fantastic spot with great people. Recommend every time.”
“Don’t know what the bad reviews are talking about! The Den bison burger was a delicious flavor combination, and the cheese curds were top notch. Great tap list and bar, awesome homey atmosphere away from the crowds, and friendly service!”
“Solid late night grab after the holiday train in gtown. Decided that any place over 4.0 for Mx is actually 5 stars if you actually understand what is and should be served at a Mexican restaurant. Not sure why they rate low, maybe some California Karen’s mad over the spices queso. This place was solid, no frills, no fuss, good food, perfect save for a hungry Mrs and two kids 8 & 13. Service was great — even though slow night kitchen was still fastKid-friendliness: Customized dish no problemo for my youngest and pickiest”
“Holy smokes this place amazing. I heard the voice of my ancestors speak upon my first bite at this location, for they were proud of me, and my choices. You absolutely must stop here for a meal if you are in Idaho Springs. Even if you are not in Idaho Springs, drive here, directly to this location. The pilgrimage is so worth it.Super friendly staff, and a solid menu of old school BBQ choices. The platters and sandwiches are well priced, and will send you to flavor town immediately. This place is such an easy choice for food after a day out skiing or hiking. Bring you friends, bring your family, go down the street and meet a stranger, bring them too. There is regular BBQ, and then there is the elevated culinary experience that Smokin Yards prides themselves to be. I cannot wait to eat those sides again too, I dream of them often. I might even name my first child Smoked Baked Beans.Stop reading this, go get the BBQ.”
