Great little Mexican food joint. The food was good, and prices were fair. Chips and salsa to die for!

Worse “mexican” food I have ever tried. I should have known not to go there because there was not a single soul there

I personally thought the food was absolutely terrible. Came out ice cold even though we were the only ones in the restaurant, unfortunately not a pleasant experience.

Large portions sizes at a reasonable price for a mountain town! I got the Pollo Asado Burrito and it was just ok. Chicken was fresh but there were a lot of vegetables in it that weren’t described in the description making it kind of different for a burrito. We also got the grande burrito which was HUGE. Totally worth the extra cost as you will have leftovers with that! Staff were friendly and a decent atmosphere.

Great location. Nice outdoor seating. Good indoor decor & clean. Very friendly staff. Slow inaccurate service even though there were less than 5 tables inside & out. Tasteless food. We will choose one of our standard restaurants next time.

I rarely write reviews but I don’t know how this place is in business. Worst Mexican food I have ever had. My friend got a chicken and cheese quesadilla barely cooked. I ordered a combo and the rice and beans were super overcooked. Salsa is awful as well.

quesadilla came out with chicken stuffed in an uncooked tortilla, we were served less than half a bowl of chips for 2 people and the food was overall unappetizing to add to the horrible service

Azteca Restaurant was amazing! The food was fresh, flavorful, and full of authentic taste. Great service and a fun atmosphere. We loved everything and will definitely be back when we get in the town.
Waited 20 minutes and no one ever took my order. The waste staff walked by my table, at least seven times and didn’t even acknowledge me. At least they brought me something to drink when I first got there. Apparently the air conditioning is out or they don’t have it because it was really hot in there and very uncomfortable we never did get the food and decided to walk out and go to a better restaurant down the street. Don’t waste your time.
If the food here weren’t so good, I’d still come back for the generally good service!

Worst Mexican restaurant and margaritas in Idaho springs.
Service was the only thing that was decent here.
I’d rather eat at Taco Bell and get a premixed marg. The tequila tasted burnt.
Canned chile, and I found a sour cream plastic topper in my burrito. Ok, cool, accidents happen, but then they remade it without us asking for it, packaged it to go, then tried to charge us for it. Nooo sir, I appreciate that you remade it, but you served me literal trash? They took it off the bill, then CONFISCATED the food, which was twice as embarrassing because they had to move a 2nd to go box which popped open because it didn't have an opening to begin with, so we had to open it with a knife at the table. You know it's bad when someone who is a server from another restaurant doesn't even want to tip you. Get it together.
We went in and just wanted a margarita, so we got a pitcher with chips and salsa. The margarita was absolutely the worst, we drank it, but it really bad. The chips were good but the salsa tasted like spaghetti ‘O’. We definitely will not go back. The waiter was not friendly at all, when asking about homemade tequila, it was infused with. Awful awful place we have in a lot of places Mexican, but this is as the worst
Rice was badly microwaved. There was cold pineapple piled on top of the al pastor taco, that's next to me (I know it's on the marinade but cold on top?? What? I'm from Texas and I ain't never seen that on a taco)
First of all long wait, half empty bowl of chips and nasty salsa and they charge for refills on chips and sodas. Whenever we finally got our food my fiancés was wrong and even the “fresh” chimichangas they brought him was cold, like the rest of the food. My biggest complaint though is the tamales, I was excited when I was told they sold tamales there many Mexican restaurants I’ve been to does not because of the time constraints with tamales. If you are going to serve them you need someone to make them fresh every morning, if you can’t do that then don’t offer them because when I tell you it was obviously frozen and just microwaved, that’s what it was.
