It pains me to leave this review because I am a local and have enjoyed Marion's a bunch of times and always had a good experience with good food and good service but I went there this last weekend on Saturday and both my brother and I ordered the chimichanga for $13.50 each and it was the smallest chimichanga I have ever seen it my life. It literally was like 4 or 5 bites and gone. I said something to my waitress and nothing was done to make me feel better about the situation. I felt completely ripped off and left for the first time hungry and disappointed. I'm not sure if that's how they always are or if it was a mistake that day but it really left a bad taste in my mouth for a place I've always enjoyed going to.I just want to add because I left the above message over a week ago to no response that I think it's kind of sad that not only a local customer but also a regular customer can leave a review about being that disappointed over a visit at your restaurant and nothing is said or any attempt made to make things right. It shows how little this place cares about their locals and their regular customers.

Found this place on Google while passing through from Winter Park to Denver. Needed breakfast and decided to try it. Customer service was great, friendly and offered suggestions on what to eat and things to do in the area. I ordered sweet tea with 2 pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage. The 2 pancakes were huge. It was all really food.

I hate to say it, we tried to like it. Three strikes you're out. I can say one good thing, they have good waffles. I always leave disappointed otherwise tho. I ordered meats and eggs with ham, I was charged for ham steak. Which are similar but not the same. One has a 4oz ham slice and the other is 10oz and 2-3$ more. The waffle we received was good tasting. We had asked for pecans on the inside, and they were placed on top. They were busy, and understaffed. We are understanding of that, but this wasn't the first time. We've come in and the order be wrong or the food be off. We're locals, and won't be back :(

I refuse to drive past Idaho Springs without making a stop at Marion's. The giant homemade cinnamon roll is worth the trip alone. My personal favorite is the Eggs Benny with hollandaise sauce. They have excellent hash browns. Chicken fried steak is my oldest son's favorite. It is very good. . Burgers are great. The breakfast burritos are also fantastic. Portions are large. U won't leave hungry. Price is very fair. Service is always good and friendly. Ambience is clean.

Delicious food, family atmosphere, warm feelings, wonderful staff, not sure if it was dog friendly (we asked prior to coming in) but mine behaved and did not cause a scene while laying at my feet.Quick service!

Great comfortable locals place for breakfast. We've been coming here forever, but moved away a while back and hadn't been in for several years. Jet a special person for breakfast, and everyone at the table said it was very good.

Great food. Great service. Busy always. Worth the wait. Pay with cash, better deal. Tip with cash. Still the same as when I was there with my father back in 1981. Still awesome!

I went the wrong way going home on I-70 this morning and was turning around in Idaho Springs. We decided we were hungry, saw cars there and decided to stop.Best choice ever. We will never go to Blackhawk again without eating there before we head back to Denver. The service was over the top, take care of those servers above and beyond they are.
