Was visiting for a couple days and wanted to try something good in town. This barbecue was hands down some of the best I've ever had. The brisket was absolutely wonderful and melted in your mouth, and the ribs fell off the bone with ease. If you're stopping by Idaho springs I highly recommend this wonderful little barbecue restaurant.

Went in on a Friday night with a group of 12. They place looked packed. We were ready to turn around and go but then decided to ask the staff if there was seating. Sure enough a staff member went back to check on the large heated deck area and said there was plenty of seating for our large group! Looks can be deceiving from the outside of this place for sure. It is bigger than it looks!
The ordering is right in the front. So it will look crazy crowded but if people know their orders it can go quickly and the crowds will disperse.
The food was delicious and came out so so quick! A couple of things were forgotten, drinks, etc but is was quickly brought to us after we mentioned to the staff. We were checked on a number of times even in the back room!
Love this place for a large group to order at the front. Makes it so easy!
We got the four meat combo with sides and everything was delicious. Our favorite was the pulled pork, brisket and hot links. Green beans, sweet potatoes and chili were also super tasty!
Will be coming back!!
Kid-friendliness: Kids menu and easy ordering at the front. Menu on wall for easy ordering. Food is quick for any crabby family members!

Man… I used to come here when it was 5 stars but I just got the sliced beef brisket to go and so dissatisfied they might have ran out of baked beans and switched to canned bushes baked beans but if there is one person who would notice it’s me I used to get a sandwich to go and have more meat than I could put in my sandwich now I got 3 slices of what looked like commercial chain brisket… I feel like they forgot where they came from..as an OG BBQ spot now going chain I’ll try one more time if they don’t go back to the original s#it I used to get I’m downgrading the stars. The reason my last experience isn’t 1 star is cause they used to be solid

Very casuall and friendly atmosphere with the most delicious food if you are in the mood for smoked meats. I prefer my barbecue smoked, tasty, and tender enough that no barbecue sauce is needed. This place hit the mark for me. I came 10 minutes after it opened, and the burnt ends were already sold out! That should tell you something about the quality, even in a smaller mountain town. Everything we tried was awesome. The mashed potatoes, macaroni, and sweet potato fries were great. That isn't to mention the ribs (I preferred the upgrade to St. Louis style but the baby back were really just as good), half chicken, and the brisket was my favorite and personal preference. I did not get the pork or links, but I know I will go back again one day when I visit my sister again. The staff is very friendly and kind. The price was about 2/3rds what most places of this quality and style charge (I think the 4 meat, 3 side was $37.99 before tax as of Dec. 1 2024). Don't think about it...go check it out if you are nearby. And don't forget to go to the Indian Hot Springs just minutes away.

Front counter staff rude. Prices are high for portion size and quality of food. If you are on the interstate save your money as go to the bbq place in Georgetown by the visitor center.
