small, but delicious selection of classic American foods with an extensive beer menu. I'd highly recommend the chili cheese fries!
Up front - this place has great beer. Never had a problem finding something I like.
The food has slipped a bit over the years - at least the fried chicken sandwich has. It used to be a phenomenal fried chicken sandwich, now it's just OK. However, the cauliflower wings we had last night were very good. Haven't had the burger and fries in a while but those used to be great - especially the fries. Last time I had the green chili cheese fries and those were excellent.

Great little place in Idaho springs. The Juice caboose was delicious! The bison burger is definitely worth it! The nachos are huge and tasty.
Broccoli cheddar soup from the Willits location yesterday (December 19) gave us food poisoning…. Don’t recommend it and the rest of their food is either too salty or too cold.
Really nice bartender and yummy beer but chili ruined my life. Spicy on the way in spicier on the way out 🥲
Great beer, but their chili tastes like somebody just dumped an entire bottle of jalapeño cholula into perfectly fine chill, completely ruining it
The prices here are high, but the food is good. The Buffalo burger hit the spot! Hefeweizen beer tasted pretty good as well
Used to be Buffalo Bar & Restaurant, now Westbound & Down - great bar area with old western style one and a new modern one, so take your pick. Decent selections on the menu, and the food is outstanding! The prices are high, but cool mountain bar for a drink or meal on the way to-from the mountains. Great service by all the employees!
Excellent place. Great food and great wine and great beer. Took some with me.

Great service, drinks, and food! The bison burger with the chili cheese fries for a side was amazing! The chicken wings were also delicious! 🤤
Beautiful scenery, nice tap room, & AMAZING beer! They have a nice selection of Westcoast IPAs! The Westbound Select, the Westbound ipa, & the Spirit of the West are all incredible! If you like hazies they have two of my favorites, Juice Caboose and Tropical Arts. All considered they are my favorite Colorado brewery and this location is fantastic!
Limited menu. Didn’t find the food quality to be very high definitely for the price.
