Great stop at the base of two ski lifts at Keystone. Fantastic pulled pork, brisket, and Mac and cheese. Friendly service despite the onslaught of skiers. Picnic table seating and a lot of low sitting outdoor chairs. You can soak up some Colorado sun, while taking a rest.

The food is good, but be prepared to still be hungry afterwards. I will not come back. Not worth it.

The service was terrible! Our plates were half-empty, and I cannot recommend this place. The blonde girl serving the food was very rude, and there was no bread available. Perhaps weekdays are worse than weekends. Please, do not eat here!

The brisket was chopped up & when they put the scoop on the bun, most of the meat fell off. I was hungry after paying over 20 bucks. Place has been going down here for a few years!

Chili bowl has the best price in the resort. And beer always taste better in the mountains. I've been skiing Summit County since I was a kid and this has always been my favorite on mountain spot.

This is very mediocre BBQ in a great setting. If you want great BBQ on the mountain, head over to A Basin!
Food was much better last year. For 20$ I got much less this year and the taste was more mediocre. But the chairs in front are a cool vibe.

This place is great for what you get. Instead of paying 20 bucks for a burger, I paid 20 bucks for a brisket sandwich and it was delicious! (Everything tastes better when you're skiing, but I was so happy I ordered this). Had a great lunch on the patio chairs outside in the sun. Sitting inside was a little crowded and felt cafeteria-like, but sitting outside was really fun.

If you're looking for a unique dining experience while skiing or snowboarding at Keystone Resort, LaBonte's Mid-Mountain Smokehouse BBQ is a must-visit destination. Located at the bottom of the Ruby Express Lift, the restaurant is only accessible by snowboarding or skiing, making it a truly special experience. The prices at LaBonte's Mid-Mountain Smokehouse BBQ are on the higher side, but that's to be expected given its location and the quality of the food. The menu features a variety of BBQ dishes, including brisket, pulled pork, ribs, and chicken, all cooked to perfection with a smoky flavor that's hard to resist. The sides are just as delicious, with options like mac and cheese, baked beans, and coleslaw, to name a few.The atmosphere at LaBonte's Mid-Mountain Smokehouse BBQ is warm and inviting, with rustic decor and plenty of seating options both inside and outside. The views from the outdoor seating area are breathtaking, making it a great spot to take a break and enjoy the scenery.Overall, LaBonte's Mid-Mountain Smokehouse BBQ is a unique and memorable dining experience that's well worth the visit. The delicious food and stunning views make for an unforgettable experience that you won't want to miss. While the prices may be steep, the location and quality of the food make it a worthwhile splurge.Note: The bathrooms are not good. Take care of business before heading there.

Pleasantly surprised with the quality of US style BBQ in the middle of a ski resort. The chips (crisps) side were outstanding. I had to ask them if they were made on site and they said yes. Best chips I have ever had. I ate here twice. The first pulled pork roll was ok but what let it down was the amount of liquid. The meat was sitting in liquid and it seems like most of that liquid came with it when put on the bun, so sadly that let it down. Day 2. the brisket was stored without liquid, so it paired well with the bun. Beautifully smoked brisket on a bun that held its composition. Glad I gave it a second chance. Maybe the day they had all the liquid was an experiment. If so, I would recommend they do not do it, if the meat is to go on a bun. This process brings too much liquid with it and detracts from the eating experience.

Saturday: big helping of tater tots along with BBQ served inside.Wednesday: line up outside, wait 30 minutes, and pay $18 for a paper cup of brisket and Mac n cheese.Thursday: line up outside, wait 10 minutes then they close the service window without apologies at 1:30, without warning to people who have been waiting in line.
