My husband and I dined here for the first time for my birthday. We ordered the Old Fashioned and Huckleberry Martini cocktails, which were so delicious. The rolls (must request) were outstanding. We had the crab cakes to start. Perfect!! I ordered the elk medallions and husband ordered the NY strip. Both cooked perfectly . The elk was so tender and was flavored with a huckleberry vinaigrette. For dessert, I had the brownie and my husband ordered the crème brûlée. Once again, did not disappoint. Our server was so attentive and answered all of our questions, in addition to giving us the history of this wonderful restaurant. A truly wonderful birthday experience, and we will be back! I’m just sorry it took us so long to try it in the first place.

We were looking for a quality steakhouse that didn't have a lot of frills, but just great food. We weren't disappointed! We ate at the bar, and Rhett was tending bar and also served our food. He was very knowledgeable about everything on the menu and was efficient at his job. The ribeye steaks we had were excellent! We'll definitely be back when we come to Denver for another Broncos game.

The BEST Steak you will ever have!!! A wonderful experience from beginning to end. Frank was our waiter. Friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu and history of the restaurant. Average steakhouse. I do like the huckleberry theme. Best part of the meal was the pecan pie desert! Best pecan pie I have had. Not overly sweet. Even if you don't want steak, get the huckleberry chicken salad and absolutely the pecan pie!

The waitresses were great, which is the only reason they are getting 2 stars. I ordered a steak and baked potato. You would think a steak house could handle that. The steak was overcooked. I ordered it medium rare, I got medium well. The potato was so under cooked it was practically raw. It was actually cold in the middle of the potato.

How God intended food. This place is absolutely out of this world. If you stop in it’ll become your favorite place just like it did ours. The rolls alone are the best rolls and butter I’ve ever had. The atmosphere feels like home, you just want to stay. It’s awesome
Last night, we stumbled across this place after checking several restaurants with very long wait times. We chose it based on photos and proximity, without checking the menu. It's a fancy place with pricy food, but we didn't regret the splurge. We had an amazing waiter too! I had the burger with veggies, which were both tasty and well-seasoned. My husband had the NY strip topped with crab meat, asparagus, and some sauce, accompanied by a loaded potato—OMG, it was so delicious. The place has a charming old-time feel, from the nostalgic music to the iron statues and paintings that fill the space. I recommend it for a special occasion. The views are also great if you end up by the window. ?
