The food here was amazing and authentic! We had a breakfast platter and some of their tacos! We liked it so much we placed a second order. It’s right off the main road and worth the stop!!

Great food, salsas were tasty with a good amount of spice. We sat outside with our dog at some picnic tables they have out front.

Outstanding taco truck. I had a taco combo plate. Everything was delicious. They have inside and outside seating. There is also a restroom. I would eat here all the time if I lived in LA Junta.

My husband picked up food there today for the first time in over a year. The price is outrageous now. The quesadillas had barely any cheese but were swimming in grease to the point of being inedible. The California burrito had almost zero French fries in it. My husband got all the way home and realized they had forgotten a whole order of asada fries. When he tried to call them multiple times he got no answer and had to drive all the way back to town to ask for a refund. They don’t skimp on the meat, but the only flavor it has is one of straight up salt. I’m so disappointed. Lucy’s was always a favorite of ours, we just hadn’t been in a while. But now we will not be going back.

⭐️ 0 Star — Extremely Disappointed I’m incredibly disappointed in my recent experience at Lucy’s Tacos. I accidentally left my purse behind after eating at their restaurant. My husband & I returned less than 10 minutes later after realizing I had left it behind — only to find it was already gone. When I asked the woman and the owner at the window if anyone had turned it in, they both told me no and I went on my way. A girl who had been there at the same time as us had mentioned she saw a man in a blue shirt go into the dining area (where I left my purse) and walk out shortly after and had walked behind them. Being naive & trusting the owner and his worker no one had turned it in my husband and I drove around for over an hour trying to locate this man based on her description. We eventually returned to Lucy’s and asked to see the camera footage — a simple and reasonable request — but were told only the "boss" could authorize it. When I asked if they could call him, they refused. We then called the police to see if there was anything they could do. The nice officer went to Lucy’s to ask for the footage and was told the same thing. He asked them to put him in contact with the “boss” but wasn’t successful and told us once he found out more or got in contact with the boss he would call us. Later, I remembered that an acquaintance of my husband had pulled up to order just as we were leaving. When we contacted him and asked if he had saw anyone go in or out the dining area, he said he saw the boss himself walk out of the dining area holding a small black bag with a strap hanging — matching my purse exactly. This person lives in La Junta and has done work for the owner personally and had no doubt it was him. I called Lucy’s upset to tell them what was witnessed. I told them we knew the truth and if my bag wasn’t returned, with everything in it, we would come back there with the police. Immediately the woman hung up the phone. Not even ten minutes later, the police officer assisting us called to say Lucy’s called to report my purse was "returned by someone." The same someone (the owner) who had lied to my face earlier and denied having seen it or taking it. Disgusting and inappropriate behavior. Will never support again.
My sister left her LV bag on the chair by accident went back 5 minutes later and the owner said someone stole it and they couldn’t find it and refused to let them check the cameras. Luckily her husbands friend was behind them and saw the owner themselves pick the bag up and lie about it the whole time. Was not until they called and threatened with the police that the owner decided to call the police that a bag was found. Absolutely disgusting after they supported your small business. You should be ashamed.
Traveling through to New Mexico, we stopped for a quick lunch. I ordered one of each chicharon, fish, and barbacoa taco, my husband ordered a green chili burrito and tea. The basket of corn tortilla chips served on arrival are crisp and warm, the salsa fresh and flavorful with just the right kick. Perfect size for two to share. The food is freshly prepared, authentically seasoned, delicious. Worth a stop at this low key space on the corner to enjoy generous servings of traditional home style food. Prompt friendly service, tasty foods.

Love it ! Great food
I ordered the Adobada Pork Burrito w/ Guac and Salsa.. it was definitely a delicious burrito, not at all dry, and well seasoned while being quite filling. The employees inside are kind, and the food was served in a timely manner despite the fact it was busy. I definitely recommend this place for those who are on a lunch break, or for someone who needs to eat on the road.

A trailer with a couple of tables. Always busy. Had a tasty California Burrito. Steak, potatoes, cheese, salsa. And had one red sauce, and one green sauce. Both taste great and spicy.
