This little hole in the wall steakhouse will amaze you with their steaks for sure!!! Not to mention the bar ! A very comfortable feel with very personal staff!!! I don't plan on eating anywhere else whenever I am in the area!
Don’t let the “dive bar” building facade fool you.I was very impressed with the quality of food and service from such a small town steakhouse. Not only was the food great but prices on it and drinks were so reasonable I literally had to make sure they gave me the right check. I like to drink when I go out, and it seems like nobody told them about other places charging roughly 400% markup.If you come to La Junta and don’t eat here, I need you to reevaluate your decision making process ?

I visit La Junta sporadically on business and needed to check out something different. I saw some of the other reviews here and decided to check it out. I reviewed the menu in advance and pretty much already decided what I was going to have. I was greeted instantly, got a menu and a beer. There was only one server, but she was attentive, nice and polite. My food came pretty quickly and was prepared well.It's unfortunate they do not have more business, but it's a small town and they have a lot of competition. I will most likely return.

Wow. I live in CA now and was in La Junta for business. I’ve eaten here both nights that I’ve been in town so far, and I’ll be back tomorrow night. The value here was only surpassed by the quality of my ribeye steak (and was cooked perfectly!) I recommend the grilled onions and mushrooms. I sat at the bar and the young woman that had served me made my experience that much finer! I’m picky. I’m SUPER picky about steaks out at dinner (I make excellent ones at home) and I highly highly recommend The Steakhouse over the other local spots here in La Junta.

Our evening meal at The Steakhouse was so incredibly good! We were greeted immediately with a smile upon entering the restaurant, and were promptly seated.Everything included in our meal was very tasty. From the grilled steaks, oven-baked potatoes, green beans with bacon and onion, and the very fresh salad bar, nothing disappointed.We were delightfully surprised with a great meal. The prices were very affordable, with steak plates beginning at $11. I would encourage everyone in the valley to give this place a chance.**Update: I hate to report that our last meal at the Steakhouse was very disappointing, with the steak being almost too tough to chew. Our concern was shared with our server, and our meals were somewhat discounted. But honestly, a very poor quality steak doesn’t make me want to run back and try it anytimeSoon.
The staff is incredible! The steaks are outstanding. Great selection of beer and hard alcohol. A must try in LJ.

I’m a local here in La Junta and I don’t recommend this place to anyone, they are extremely rude! Their wait times are very long and the waitress never checks on you! I do not recommend this place to anyone unless you like terrible service. Oh and when you go to check out if your ticket is wrong they will literally yell at you and tell you it’s not wrong and the waitress writes everything down. Also the saddest part is that the rudest person is the owners daughter, terrible management. Food was good but service was trash.
