Hidden gem of a brewery with a great atmosphere both inside and out.

I love Mountain Merman's friendly atmosphere and ability to provide La Veta with a great community space to relax, enjoy time with friends, and listen to live music all while delivering excellent locally crafted beer and cocktails. Truly a place I look forward to celebrating special occasions or just hang out with friends and enjoying a cold drink. Thank you all so much for being a staple for our community and providing us with the most tasty drinks and food!

Jen and JD were sweet, accommodating and generous to my single parent pack. We enjoyed the very inviting and cozy outdoor space. Music (MMBC?) was fun and interactive- age appropriate tunes for my generation :). The psycho prince was perfect for a Saturday afternoon refreshment and I also took home a few other IPAs that were lovely (and thank you JD for the extra treats).

Nice little brewery with good food and great beer. The people are very friendly and there is a beautiful, quiet beer garden that is dog friendly. I always visit when I'm in La Veta.

Amazing place for one of their events, coffee, great grub, and libations. JD at the bar is a whole vibe! They make you feel like you’re a regular. Very hip accepting place! Check out DJ H

Went on karaoke night and although we only got to stay a short time we really enjoyed the environment.The staff and patrons were pleasant and kind. Thank you for a fun time!!!

Great people. Great vibe. Great beer. We arrived in La Veta on a Tuesday night and were dismayed to discover all the restaurants were closed!! We saw people in the brewery and went in. The owners were having a private party, but they welcomed us anyway, served us beer and pizza, and made us feel totally at home. I'll never forget that kindness.

Best little brewery and eatery in town. Out of our one week stay we ate there three times, that should tell you how good their pizzas, their pretzels and the brews were because we ate selective when it comes to food and brews.
Fun, friendly people, food was exceptionally good and came out faster than expected, pretzels were crispy on the outside, soft and warm on the inside, right out of the oven. The pizza was exceptional we tried the Margarita, and the Deluxe. The brews were fantastic, refreshing and we took some with us before leaving town. Unfortunately the ‘take homes’ didn’t last long because they’re not a beer you want to save for later. So good.

Awesome outdoor space with flowers and hummingbirds.

Even if this weren't the only brewery in town, I'd go again and again and again. Jen & JD have done an amazing job of not only brewing fantastic beer, but also nurturing a much-needed home base for locals and visitors to LaVeta. I've visited several times over the past few years and each time the beer selection is a little bit different and always offered something that I love. The outside patio - often with live music - is very dog friendly.

Top notch service. Great food and even better craft beer ? this is a must stop if your ever in town or just passing through! They also have gooey fresh baked cookies for the road!
