Exceptional in all regards. The White Bean and Ham Soup was delicious with a complex velvety broth that brought tears to my eyes. For the main course, I had the lamb, and my wife had the pork. Both seasoned and cooked to perfection. May I suggest the Ramey Pinot Noir as an excellent pair? Finished it off with carrot cake and the Angel Food. Spent 3 days in La Veta and ate dinner here all 3 nights. Had better food here than in many big cities we have visited. A nice selection of entrees with a vegetarian choice. Salads and vegetables tasted freshly picked and the home made desserts were superb. Alys and her staff welcoming and gracious. Would highly recommend.

Since ALYS appeared in la Veta, we have happily been coming here for the ambiance, the food, the setting, the wines, and the happy combination of all of it.
