I know this is a bold comment but this was one of the best steakhouses I’ve ever been to in Colorado and that includes many places in Denver. The short ribs and steak were cooked perfect. Great service

My husband & I ate here on 6/28/24. We had reservations @6:00, but we were the only party dining inside. There were a few tables out on the patio eating. We both have filets for dinner. The rolls & butter were very good, the salad bar was cold & fresh ingredients. The filets were soooo tender but lacking flavor (would be wonderful with a compound butter on top), but steaks were excellent. We had garlic mashed potato’s for the sides and were fabulous! The $35 price was excellent for the amount of food you get and quality was fabulous. The best part of our meal was our waitress Rachelle who was so friendly and gave us EXCELLENT service❤️. We were very impressed with food and service and when we come back to cuchara via oklahoma we will definitely eat here again!

This is an okay restaurant but don’t go there expecting a nice steakhouse. The atmosphere was just okay so if the weather is nice make sure you choose the outdoor patio. The salad bar was beginning to yellow on the edges so that is never a good way to start your meal. There were 7 of us and we all felt as though the ribeye was the best meal of the group. Our server was very nice but she seemed a bit overwhelmed perhaps by the size of our group. I think I’d return but only for a burger or hot dog next time.

Guys, this place is a hidden gem beneath the backdrop of the gorgeous Spanish Peaks. We make the drive from Trinidad because….IT’S WORTH IT! The steaks are always amazing. Sides are delicious. Dessert so yummy. They bake their own bread and make their own whip cream. Staff is wonderful. The atmosphere is very classy but relaxed and friendly. Love the decor. But the steak…..Omg the steak. Get there!

We purposely went to Peaks steakhouse to support local businesses, and we’re very pleasantly surprised! We had been on the golf course to run many times back in the day and now it’s open again with a great menu, fantastic prices and superb cocktails. $25 for a strip steak, salad bar, and TWO sides can’t be beat!! The steaks and sides were cooked to perfection. Why stand in line elsewhere or call endless times and not get an answer. Try this place, you will not regret it.

Very good dinner at Peaks! Friendly and attentive service. Prices were excellent. Dinner was $25 for steak or prime rib, and included sides and a really good salad bar with a lot of fresh options. Also had a very good cocktail. One of the best dinners available in La Veta.
So glad this course is open again! New clubhouse with restaurant & bar and a comfy deck to relax on! Great food and service!

I’m from Wyoming, and finding a course like this is hard. We played there twice this summer and noticed major improvements each time! It’s an amazing layout and has great staff. They are doing a great job getting the course back on track. Love this course would highly recommend!

Grandote is an experience, from the amazing staff, the sandwich show, the land, the views, the course, and the town, it is absolutely stunning here. If you are planning a a colorado trip or just need to break away, I highly recommend going to Grandote and visiting La Veta and Cuchara!
