It’s disappointing to see this has happened to Santiago’s Burritos it used to be my go to Burrito spot, but now it seems like every time the portions are smaller, and the prices just don’t match up. I got a steak burrito and paid $3.50 extra for a small portion of beans and rice inside my burrito. One would expect, being that you are paying extra for beans and rice, to see a bigger proportion burrito (makes sense right) Negative! same size burrito just packed with less Meat and beans and rice 🤦🏻♂️ I don’t like doing this, but this seems to continue to happen and someone has to say it. Plus if I am paying extra for it I expect to get what I paid for not what the server feels is good enough.

I have mixed feelings about this establishment and find myself questioning why I continue to return. The consistency of both the food and service is highly unpredictable. There’s about a 50/50 chance that my order will be accurate, and an equal chance that I’ll receive polite treatment.
For example, on a recent visit, I ordered a breakfast smothered burrito with chicharrón. To my disappointment, the burrito only contained a tortilla, sauce, and chicharrón—completely missing the eggs, which are essential to any breakfast burrito. This has happened on multiple occasions, which is frustrating.
Additionally, the experience with the staff varies greatly. While the individuals preparing the food and handing it out are always courteous and pleasant, the staff taking orders often appear disengaged and unprofessional, which detracts from the overall experience.
Consistency and customer service improvements are areas this establishment should address to enhance the dining experience. I will consider visiting a different location.

Have loved the food for 20+ years. I've never been disappointed. Best green chile around, as hot or mild as you can handle. Carnitas burrito is phenomenal! But like I said, I've never had anything bad here. Love their hard tacos and stuffed soppapillas. Always have and as far as I'm concerned always will love this place. Spoiled rotten to have a couple of great Mexican food restaurants here in Lafayette.

Staff is great but Eric and Martina really whitewashed the food to accommodate the white folks around Lafayette. Very disappointing

Tried their breakfast 🌯 for the first time ever.
It was delicious.and for ONCE truly MILD. I love spice but for some reason my body simply WILL NOT TOLERATE it anymore😭 EVERY time I order "mild" green chilli here I cannot get through even a COUPLE bites.
BUt the burrito 🌯 was sooo yummy and had authentic Mexican flavors without hot spices ..that's just 🪄✨. YUMMY MAGIC

Used to be a great place for breakfast burritos, but now shrink-flation has taken place. B-fast burritos seem smaller and price has increased.

Great food service is horrible. It took them 15 minutes to make two burritos and then three people ahead of me got their order’s before me and they had bigger orders.
We enjoyed our meal here. Husband got stuffed sopapillias, smothered. I got rellenos, crispy. It wasn't a traditional relleno, more like cheese and green chile in a tortilla and fried (like a chimichanga). Tasty, but not what I expected.
Vegetarian options: I got rellenos smothered in the enchilada sauce. Their mild and hot sauces have pork in them.

I have Celiac disease. I have come here regularly for years to order enchiladas without sauce. Tonight I was told they can’t sell me enchiladas without sauce, even though I have ordered them this way probably 100 times. The cashier said it’s the owners policy and would not budge. Terrible customer service.
Bean and cheese burrito had piece of chicken in it
