We had two dinners at the Packer Saloon when we were in Lake City, Colorado. The food was excellent. The owners were fabulous and very engaging. They spent time with us discussing things to do and see in the area. Wonderful people.
An amazing place to sit down and have an ice cold beer! And the food is always great too! The outdoor seating area is spacious and really allows you to enjoy the gorgeous Lake City summer weather. The owners are amazing and really go out of their way to accommodate us! 10/10 recommend.
The food was good, but it seemed to lack a little heart, and with it, some flavor. We had the cheese steak and the French dip and they were a little bland for our palates. I must point out that I am a chef who deals with bold flavors, so I may be expecting too much, as I am aware that some folk can't deal with pronounced flavor profiles. The atmosphere was awesome, especially on that beautiful afternoon, and the service was prompt and delightful. I will be back.
