Made an order for rainbow colored cup cakes in mid July for an August pick up. Came to pick up the order and they look nothing even close to what the picture I sent them does. How do you get pink green and purple out of a rainbow colored spectrum? The cake decorator must not even been paying attention to the orders or they just don’t care. I got my money refunded for the order but how is that going to make the birthday surprise enjoyable. It’s like …. Surprise!! I got you what you didn’t ask for. I feel extremely unheard and let down. I consider myself a pretty savvy baker and dessert aficionado, and I can honestly say these cakes are second to none! Best cake I have ever had! To my fellow Southerners, hear me when I say this, but these are better than Publix Bakery! Service is phenomenal and the turnaround time is less than a day! If you order before the delivery person makes their routes, you can get them in the same day. If you want to treat yourself or someone you love, get you one! I highly recommend!!

I called and I ordered a cake. I've never did this. This is the first time I ever did this and I called Karen's cakes. I ordered the cake. The person that helped me was very nice. I messed up a letter on the cake. I don't need it until Saturday, so I'm calling 2 to 3 days ahead. I let the lady know. What happened? She then says let me put Karen on the phone. Karen, the owner gets on the phone I said good morning to her. I told her what the situation was, and first thing comes out of her mouth is. Who are you? I then told her. I am a customer that ordered a cake from you like. She was so rude and Jis didn't want to help me. Didn't make me feel comfortable with getting an. Edible from you that goes inside of my body, the way she talked. I would never recommend this cake store ever again.

Cakes by Karen went out of their way to fix a little problem. I went to pick up a small wedding cake for a Colorado celebration and the roses were missing. The cake was already absolutely gorgeous but I felt that the roses were needed. The counter person called and had the designer bring down roses the next morning to put on the cake. What a beautiful small wedding cake. The shop really made it right for me. Thank you to everyone who was part of this little cake.

My daughter’s first birthday was less than a month away and I found Cakes By Karen online. I wanted a small smash cake and one larger size cake with her initials. The cakes were delivered to the party on time and they did a beautiful job with the designs to match her theme. I was satisfied with how the cakes turned out and would order from them again in the future.

Horrible flavor! Cake looked amazing-- it was for my Dad's 80th. His favorite flavor is carrot cake. After taking a few bites he asked me "What kind of cake it was?" It tasted like cardboard. NO flavor- and not 1 out of 22 people could identify it as carrot cake. For $250 we should be able to tell the flavor-- Go somewhere else to get your cake-- Anywhere else. Way overpriced, with no flavor.

Another Perfect Cake! The lady bug Miraculous mask was so detailed to my picture. The fondant dots are a perfect size! Lady bug Miraculous stand up girl in front of the cake is perfect. The cream cheese buttercream filling was very delicious, the spice cake was so delicious also!
