Sergio, Roxanne and family really know how to cook delicious food! The pork was amazing, actually everything was amazing (chicken, yucca, plantains, etc). There are no bad choices here. Have a delicious cafe con leche with the best flan you’ll ever have anywhere.

Food was superb and cooked to perfection. I've grown up in a Hispanic household and this tastes like something that would have come out of my aunt marys kitchen. Tender meats and vegetables and the rice was spiced to perfection. Aside from the food, the owners were extremely pleasant and willing to give samples and chat us up like we were locals. must try

Sadly this restaurant is now closed permanently. I was their mailman for many years up until they had to close. The food was so good, I ate there several times a week. The restrictions that were presented in March 2020 destroyed their business and they had to close down in May. The family that owned this business were so kind and they really loved the people that would come in and you could taste that love and passion for cooking in their food. They will be missed.

This place feels like my own little secret and I almost wish it was! The food is so good and the service is kind and welcoming. Their pork, bread, and Maduros are easily my favorite things but i don’t think there is a bad item on the menu.

AMAZING food, lovely people, and a real slice of Cuba in Lakewood!! From the moment my friends and I walked in, I felt welcome and like I was part of the family which is something truly hard to find now a days so it was really a delightful change of pace!! My meal was superb and the coffee was out of this world!!! I was so content, full and happy afterwards and can’t wait to eat my leftovers for lunch today!!!! Highly recommend ?

My buddy had a house painting business. While I was between employers for a few months I worked with him on painting jobs. We had a "I know a better restaurant than you do" game running for about a dozen weeks. We were painting a house on Green Mountain one day and I called "I know a better restaurant than you do!" and we went to Frijoles Colorado for lunch. He was pondering the menu but I stopped him. "Don't look at the menu, look at the stove!" So I asked "What's up with that?" It was mango chicken over saffron rice with fried plantains on special. Two, maybe three bites in my buddy pushed back and declared me the victor in the "I know a better restaurant than you do" contest.
