Super yummy neighborhood restaurant. We got the queso fundido which was excellent, the street tacos - our faves were the carne asada, the carnitas, and the el pastor (nothing wrong with the chicken or barbacoa just didn’t quite stack up to the others), and the tacos la Fonda mixed. The rest of the menu looks pretty par for the course of a local Mexican restaurant.

I am the daughter of the original owner of La Fonda on 38th and have always had very good food at that location.I live in Lakewood and this location is close to me and I thought I would order some food and try it out.My husbands La Fonda burrito was “okay” the meat lacked flavor. Had a Steak taco salad take out , sadly steak was dried out and the lettuce tasted like it had some kind of sour vinaigrette on it . I was a bit disappointed.The waitress was friendly and seems like the restaurant was tidy and clean.
