Came here for a late lunch at around 4p. The service was prompt and friendly. The wait time for food was as expected. Prices were more than reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. The food was delicious! We've eaten at similar places and this place wins out. I'm attaching the menu and pictures of the food we ordered. If you go for a poke bowl, get a premade option because it comes with lots of toppings. Also, bathrooms were clean.
Ordered a bulogi bowl and gozya. The gozya was fairly bland. If it wasn't for the sauce, it would not have had much flavor. The bulgolgi bowl did not have much bulgolgi in it. For the $15 price tag, you are paying a lot for a bowl that is mostly rice.
Tried it twice. The first time the pork smelled rancid. I love ramen so I went back a couple months later. The only difference was the place was dirtier. Looks like they do mostly to go business now. That's probably why my ramen came out cold.
As someone who used to go to the 16th St Menya location frequently, this place is a pale imitation. The ramen was lackluster. I can barely describe it, but it tasted a bit like the frozen ramen you can buy and heat up - very disappointing and not true to the Menya I know and love. Even the pork buns seemed more heated up than fresh made.I went on a peak day/time and it wasn't busy. All this said, the service was excellent! Our waitress was very attentive even though I think she was the only one working tables. The food was 2 stars, but the service was a 4 at least. Save yourself a trip here and go to the original location.
Not great. My son had the shoyu Ramen and said everything was flavorless. I had the beef Bulgogi and the portion was very small for $15. It was ok. Wouldn't go back for overpriced, small flavorless portions. Would have been happier with any other place besides here. Filled with regret.
Really good Ramen! I had the spicy miso ramen! Not super spicy but definitely Japanese spicy!? The Selection of loose leaf teas is impressive as well! I will definitely try this place again when in town!
We normally love the food here. But this is the second time we've tried to come and eat 20-30 minutes before closing. They tell us the kitchen is closing but we can do a to-go order. Wouldn't us sitting down to order be the exact same thing as a to-go order? Same steps & cooking has to happen??
These guys use MSG in their food.I gave them an extra star for being honest about it.Please take pride in your food and stop using MSG, a chef with any respect for himself and customers would never use it.Please consider it!
I got the udon bowl with chicken and I loved it. Super hot even after I picked it up and got it home. Seaweed was really yummy. Loved the broth too. Thank you!
Was great the first time I went. Next two times were awful. Appetizers came out after the main courses and half the food was cold or just wrong.

Had a Menya special, and a Kirin. The ramen, and the beer were both good . Will definitely come back. Good place to eat before watching a movie next door.
Never got a chance to try a real ramen place before and lucked out living near a place that does it spectacularly. Our household specifically even got bowls large enough to fit take out ramen, excellent all around!
I've been multiple times and never had a bad experience. They serve hearty high quality meals. The appetizers are just as good as the entrees, so don't skip them! Plenty to choose from for both lunch and dinner.
It was good spicy miso. The hot tea came as a single cup with a tea bag but cost what other places charge for a tea pot. Service isn't traditional in the since that they don't escort you to your table with menus but tell you to grab them and sit down. When they see your food is almost done being consumed they rush you to finish instead of enjoying your time there. Kind of high prices but the amount of ramen served is enough for two bowls. I would only recommend going there if you want to do take out, it's not worth the dine in.
My husband and I visited for the first time and everything was amazing! I had the avocado boat with tuna and we also had the shrimp tempura for appetizer and then we shared the spicy miso soup and it was really good. The pork was on point and just enough spice. We highly recommend Menya!
