So, there was a looong wait. I am not holding that against them. There was one woman working the restaurant, cooking, taking orders, and handling Uber/Door Dash orders, all by herself, and when she came to counter to take my order, she had a huge smile and was so kind. It made all the difference.
I have delayed eating at Tamales Morenos for a very long time as my favorite place since childhood, Tamale Kitchen, is right across the street. I was in the area and looking for something a bit different, so I gave them a shot. I was not disappointed.
Yes, there was a wait, I am hoping they were just having staffing issues that day. As I mentioned, the woman working there was so pleasant, I have to mention that again.
I had a simply order, a chorizo breakfast burrito. It was fantastic. The green chili was great and everything was fresh and hot.
I am not sure how I am going to balance my love of their rival across the street and eating at Tamales Morenos, but I am going to have to figure something out as I really enjoyed it. This is a great intersection if you like Mexican food!

Nasty attitudes. They don’t care what they give you even if it’s the wrong order. They only speak Spanish get very offended if you don’t. They are just very bad people, who do not care for customer service.

All masa no meat… and they were dry 😢 I was so looking forward to them like it was years ago. Sadly I won’t be back.
A very nice hole in the wall that I have been frequenting. I purchased the family combo which includes a dozen tamales, three burritos, three tacos, and tostadas. It was $61.00. However the food was worth it. Beans, chili, and everything else work on point!!.

I love the Asada plate. Gives you the ability to make your own burrito with more asada. Could use a 2nd tortilla with it, but it's good mexican food.
The best tamales around, straight out of the pot. Hot and buttery deliciousness that's worth the drive from Brighton to Lakewood
Same as other reviews, hardly any filling at all. Could be just be this way for pickup as they used to be bigger. Not even a full egg, and 1 cm piece of ham in the 8$ breakfast burrito.

Ridiculous how you run a business and have not one person who speaks English to handle customer service! I called because I was missing a half dozen tamales and instead they hung up on me and then just set the phone down. HORRIBLE!
Favorite hands down.
Beautiful people. Great food.

Placed my order online 15 minutes it said arrive 15 minutes prior had to wait an additional 15 minutes upon arriving because the order was not received and she stated that it was only seen on the phone also the meat was burnt to a charcoal the tacos were not good I try to give this establishment a good rating I'm sorry I just can't it's all over the place and the ladies in the back were just chatting it up and having a good old time and leaving customers wedding at least a solid 6 minutes to even comes to the counter and asked if they needed help.
