Relish Catering & Events

I recently worked at a wedding catered by Relish as the photography team, and unfortunately, I had a really disappointing experience. We arrived at 11:00 am for a full day of coverage and, like most vendors, expected a break and a hot meal during dinner service. Especially since we had submitted our meal preference back on April 30th.

When dinner began, we were told to wait until all guests we served. Over 20 minutes passed with no follow-up. After checking with the planner, we were finally told that the food was almost gone. The catering manager, Karen, mentioned that their own staff hadn't eaten yet either and offered to order pizza for the vendors. In the meantime, we were allowed to grab whatever small portions were left.

We had less than 5 minutes to eat before being pulled for speeches. When we returned an hour later after speeches, our untouched plates had been thrown away, and no one followed up or offered any of the promised pizza. After working more than 9 hours without a break or a meal, we were left feeling frustrated and disrespected.

We don't expect special treatment, but basic consideration for working vendors is industry standard, and this was a BIG miss. I hope Relish considers how their vendor hospitality impacts the overall event experience.

I would like to add that I emailed them the next day after the wedding about our experience, asking for an explanation on what happened, and today is Thursday now, and I haven't received any communication at all. This is extremely disappointing, and I didn't want to leave a review for another vendor, but after this entire experience, I feel completely disrespected by a fellow vendor.

We have used Relish multiple times for large parties in our home and they have been truly outstanding! From set up to clean up and everything in between, we truly would never look anywhere else for our catering needs. The food is yummy and creative too!

My wife Laura and I used Relish for our wedding in October of 2024 at Crooked Willow Farms in Larkspur. They were amazing to work with from start to finish! The staff was great and was always available to answer any questions we had throughout the whole process. Our food was so good! We got so many compliments from our guests on the appetizers, main course, and desserts. I would recommend them for any wedding or event. Thank you all so much for making our wedding special!

Amy Atwood-Wherry at Relish was an absolute joy to work with throughout our wedding planning process. She was kind, communicative, helpful... and every nice adjective in the book! The food was delicious (we're still getting compliments!) and she helped bring our vision to life when picking out tableware. Also have to shout out the staff at our event - they too were amazing and so fun to be around. We're grateful to have worked with Relish for our wedding.

Relish catering was amazing! They had top notch service, they went over and above what I expected, the food was AMAZING! So many people at my sons wedding commented on how amazing the food was! I highly recommend!

Relish catered out wedding and we couldn't recommend them more! From the very start, they were communicative, friendly and easy to work with. We didn't love some of the dishes at our first tasting, but they worked with us to refine the menu and everything was perfect at our second tasting. We were able to give them our favorite chicken recipe and they used that to make all of the chicken for the buffet at our wedding. They coordinated all of the day-of rentals for us, which was super helpful, and they provided cake stands and cutting utensils to us for free. Our wedding day food was delicious and we got tons of compliments!
