Absolutely wonderful local place. It's a family joint that just does everything well.From the fantastic salsas that come with the chips, to super fresh and big oysters, to excellent menudo and tacos, I've yet to have anything here that I haven't loved.There are great specials every day and a great happy hour from 15:00 to 18:00.I'm always greeted by fantastic and prompt service and just peeking into the open kitchen you can tell how much care and attention goes into the food here. This is coming from a former chef as well.

I have been served dozens and dozens of birria across denver and the surrounding areas. This is hands down the best example of beef birria yet hands down. I got emotional eating my three tacos. If you are reading this. Drop what you are doing and drive over right now. Do not order door dash or Uber eats. Grab the car keys and drive 10 under the speed limit to sherridan and keep going until you see tacos unico. On the outside, this place looks like a hard pass. But once you step inside, you are met with wonder smells and a very friendly wait staff. Get a side of guacamole and chips to go with it. Make sure you are hungry because these tacos are packed full. I dream about these tacos all the time, and I can't wait to come back. Be sure to thank the boys in the back b4 you leave. This place charges for the to go boxes, $1 a box and they don’t let you know of this, it’s just a surprise on your bill. Look out y’all! Though, I will say, the bathroom is nicer than what I expected.

Food was good, but no idea what we were being charged until the end. The menus don’t have prices listed. The waitress brought chips and salsa to the table when we sat down. Apparently we got charged for chips when we asked for more - I guess only the first basket is free. The window by our table had a huge crack in it. Would’ve given more stars if they were more transparent about what they were charging.
