Used to be table service, now you order at the register and are prompted for a tip before your food is even prepared or any service rendered. I'm really tired of places like this expecting a tip right way.

Busy brunch spot in Belmar. I shared the pancakes and the lox with a friend. The lox was delicious and the pancakes were fluffy and sweet! Relaxed environment, enough to hang out with friends! The coffee was great quality! So many great options on the menu to interest any

I got the brisket Benny and it's very good, the potatoes being the best part. I wasn't expecting it to be as spicy as it was but it's quite good. The mocha I got was a bit bitter but that's easy fix. My only feed back would be to lower the music volume cause it was deafing as I walked in.

Wow what a surprise, I've been coming to the French Press since it was located over on Union in Lakewood. My wife and I like to rotate brunch locations and in 2024 this is the first time we've been in. My wife got a chai and I had a four shot latte to accompany our food. My wife's chai was pretty bland, almost like they ran out of mix or something. The food was just meh today, while the service was good. I had the corn beef hash and it came in the form of build your own. Meaning it was "roast beef" with "roasted potatoes" and eggs on the side. Hash is usually all mixed up but what ever. The meat was tough and the potatoes were pretty firm. My wife had the pancakes which I would have said were the best in Denver. They don't even need butter or syrup. Well they were half cooked and pretty raw and honestly not anything like they used to be. Not sure if they changed Cookes, recipes or what... but it was a pretty big let down for nearly 60 bucks. This is going to be the last time we go back, even in 2023 it was slipping one can tell as the lines outside the Lakewood and Cherry Creek Reservoir location have died way down.

We eat at the Lakewood French Press a lot and LOVE it. However, today my mom and I ordered a Reuben To Go....and in her words,"this isn't good,I'm surprised!" Soggy bread (I picked it up when ready and we ate it right away), neither of us remembered sauerkraut being in it and MAYBE a dab of dressing, there was plenty of meat but it was tough and overcooked! We got the side of fries--limp, no crispness, like partially fried (I've had them IN the restaurant and they're very good). Not sure what happened today but maybe don't order Take Out?!?! I called to talk to the mgr, apparently after hours, and I couldn't even leave a voice message (which I'd rather have done instead of this review!)

Not sure if someone was training, having a bad day, or something, but it was not good. I got a dirty chai latte and a vanilla latte. The shots were definitely burnt and the drinks were just poorly made or just bad. Service was just okay, nothing exceptional.Parking: Paid street parking or free 15-minute parking.

Needed coffee this morning and knew it was going to be a busy day so decided on an omelette as well- pretty standard overall but tasty and hit the spot! Comfy atmosphere and clean bathrooms- that's always a win for me!
