I really don’t understand the hype. I’ve had The Garlic Knot once, and that was enough. The namesake “garlic knot” tasted like it was brushed with regret instead of butter. The pizza sauce? Somehow both flavorless and heavy. Service was fine — no complaints there — but the food felt like a frozen dinner trying to pass as Italian.

What’s stranger are the glowing reviews. Maybe I caught them on an off night, or maybe the algorithm’s doing some heavy lifting, but my experience was nowhere near what the stars suggest.

I have truly never had a worse meal or dining experience in my life, and I don’t say that lightly. My partner and I are big foodies, and even when pizza isn’t great, we usually still enjoy it — but this? This was completely inedible. Neither of us could even finish a slice. The pizza had no sauce, rubbery cheese, and a strange, cardboard-like crust.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, when I picked up my order and drove all the way home, I realized they had forgotten my garlic knots. Yes, I should have checked before leaving, but still — for a place literally called “Garlic Knot,” forgetting the knots is ridiculous. I called and asked if they could deliver them since I live just a few minutes away, and they said they didn’t have a driver. Frustrated but determined, I drove back.

The manager did give me extra knots, which is the only reason this is getting one star instead of zero. But honestly, it didn’t matter. The garlic knots were a huge letdown: weird, rubbery texture, no flavor, just greasy bread that tasted like nothing. My partner also ordered wings, and those were just as bad — he couldn’t even finish them.

Most of what we ordered went straight into the trash. And we are not picky eaters. I don’t understand how this place has any loyal customers or positive reviews. The vibe and menu might look good, but don’t be fooled. Even Domino’s offers better pizza, wings, and garlic bread — and at a better price.

It’s been weeks since we ate here, and my partner and I still bring up how shockingly bad it was. That’s how unforgettable the disappointment was. Since then, I’ve mentioned my experience to people in the area, and every single person has said the same thing: “Yeah, that place is trash.” I wish I had known before wasting my time and money.

If you’re considering trying Garlic Knot — don’t. Save yourself the frustration and go literally anywhere else.

This location is phenomenal the service is great the food is always great I would recommend to anybody and everybody. I am hesitant recommend anybody as I want it to be my only personal local spot but I continue to recommend to everyone I know

I used the Garlic Knot to cater my rehearsal dinner for my wedding. My husband loves pizza and we really wanted this store to provide dinner for us. Man I am so glad we did this because our guests loved it! This team provided top notch salad, garlic knots and pizza for our guests that exceeded all expectations. It was absolutely delicious and this team perfectly estimated quantity for our numbers. They executed my vision for this meal with ease and joy. I am so beyond thankful for this place and the impact they had on our wedding weekend.

This place was bad, I mean really bad. Picture the worst pizza you have ever eaten, and imagine THAT pizza got food poisoning; the food here is the result of that. The consistency of the bread was similar to wet cardboard that you accidentally touch in an apartment complex dumpster. Whatever white “cheese” they drizzled on top was crunchy, like some sort of stale cake frosting.

Whoever is reading this, if you’re familiar with the Office (U.S. version), this place is like a real-life Pizza By Alfredo. As Kevin Malone once said: it’s like a hot circle of garbage.

This isn’t even prison food, man. PLEASE DO NOT EAT HERE.

We eat here monthly. Pizza is always great, they have gluten free options, and it is really affordable with their deal where you get a slice, drink, and garlic knots anytime of the day, not just lunch. They also do a lot for a charity I support.

We LOVE The Garlic Knot! Whether we stopped in for a slice or ordered delivery, it's always delicious. We've ordered the old standard sausage pepperoni and mushroom, or spinach and artichoke with white sauce. Always a good pie.
Their Calzones are HUGE, and full of ingredients. The Italian salads are the perfect size and plenty of toppings. Anyone who hasn't tried them is missing out.

This was a pick up, but it was awesomely done. If you didn't know, they make the best garlic knots around.

The app told me 20 minutes. I live 15 away, and my order was ready. Their recipes are from a pizza joint in NY, and I believe it.
Their red sauce is very New York...but the crust steals the show, chewy but with just the right tooth.
The garden salad was fresh and wonderful. Pretty sure they freshly cut the ingredients. Bagged salad is not my thing.

The pizza, knots and sauce could have served 2-3. We had leftovers, so my daughter had cold za for her breakfast the next morning.

Very little left over crust, and the pie was perfectly prepared. I have a deep hatred for overcooked, or burned pizza.
It's never happened at a Garlic Knot, and I am betting it never will.

This is our third shop in their list of four...and thanks again for being an oasis in a Pizza desert!
