I used to eat here at least 3 times a week. That has changed. Today, i stopped in for breakfast and it wasn't too busy. I ordered a Denver omelette. The omelette was very dark on the bottom and it tasted almost burnt and was not the texture you would expect in an omelette. The hashbrowns were fried too crispy--not enjoyable as VI's hashbrowns are usually very good. Once I got my food I never saw my server (can't remember his name) or anyone else for that matter. Not what I expect for service, and it was reflected in my tip. Village Inn, you can do better!

I have never written a bad review before. I’ve worked in the restaurant industry for 6 years so I understand things go wrong sometimes, but this experience was awful. I ordered biscuits and gravy this morning. When the food came out I took about 3 bites before realizing the gravy tasted a little sour. I didn’t think much of it at first, but then I took a closer look and there was curdled chunks everywhere in the gravy. Server didn’t even act surprised and asked me what I would want instead. I told him just a side of toast and some bacon. Then when the bacon and toast was brought out MORE problems. The bacon was soggy and barely cooked even though my partners bacon was cooked just right. Then I picked my toast up just to realize it’s charred to a crisp. Honestly this is the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. They did comp my meal and gave me the bacon and toast for free which is kind, but this many mistakes with one table makes me wonder how many people they have served rotten food to. I would not recommend this location. I love village inn, but I will not be returning to this location ever again.

I ordered their Ultimate Breakfast with eggs, bacon, ham, and pancakes. I didn’t think you could mess up pancakes, but they were so heavy with oil I only ate 1/4 of them. The ham was so salty that I couldn’t eat it. Service was very slow.

We eat there once a week. Beth is our server and takes fantastic care of all 20 of us. She even remembers what everyone likes to eat. Sometimes we throw her a curve and she just rolls with the punches. SHE IS GREAT!!!!

I would like to say that the Village Inn in Lakewood CO is fantastic. What made it fantastic is the server we had and her name was Anngelenna P. I have had good servers in the past at this establishment but Anngelenna is the best of all of the servers there. She always comes to your table to fill your water and ask you if you need anything else. She is great.
